Good for DeGale. Has to do what's best for himself and his family and team. fornicate Hearn. These promoters use you then drop you like a hot bag of shitt.

DeGale is a tit but whatever works for him.
I'm just looking forward to the Groves rematch so Groves can beat him again...

In all seriousness i used to get irked by DeGale too but since the loss to Groves, ive kind of took to him,he seems to be on the correct side of confident/arrogant these days and ive got massive respect for what he did against Dirrell to become world champ,i actually quite like himwesshaw1985 wrote:haha read that myself.handsofstone wrote:"Ive been here in America for 48 hours and already ive been stopped 3 times from people wanting pictures, its mad"

Re: DeGale quotes on Hearn
I like him too. Don't think he's the brightest but he always comes across a decent enough guy IMO. Dirrell is a quality operator. DeGales win against him gets overlooked I reckon. I thought Dirrell edged Froch in their fight although he stank the place out.handsofstone wrote:In all seriousness i used to get irked by DeGale too but since the loss to Groves, ive kind of took to him,he seems to be on the correct side of confident/arrogant these days and ive got massive respect for what he did against Dirrell to become world champ,i actually quite like himwesshaw1985 wrote:haha read that myself.handsofstone wrote:"Ive been here in America for 48 hours and already ive been stopped 3 times from people wanting pictures, its mad"

on a fighting level I give him his props but on a character level I just dislike the man, but each to there own.
I'm a big fan of Groves and the way he talks, I know I'm in the minority on that one...

I thought Dirrell beat Froch too,i didnt think Carl landed a glove all night,he did press and Andre's punches were pitty patty but they were the only ones landing, opinion did seem to be 50/50 thoughStuarty30 wrote:I like him too. I reckon it would go the distance and be a close decision...
Re: DeGale quotes on Hearn
What Hearn did to Degale was a disgrace. Hes was meant to be acting in his best interest, He knew Froch would not fight him but instead kept him in limbo for over 6 months because he didn't want ask a retiring froch to give up his belt.
Re: DeGale quotes on Hearn
It doesn't matter how good the boxer is but how durable they are when your talking about stopping someone, I would say Periban is more durable then Groves, also the punch that floored Dirrell would have sent Groves into next week Froch style.wesshaw1985 wrote:whos the best guy DeGale has stopped?lefty wrote:Groves would get stopped in a rematch imo.wesshaw1985 wrote: haha read that myself.

I agree with lefty, DeGale KO if they fight again. I also had DeGale winning the first (pro) fight.

how do you come to the conclusion Periban is more durable than Groves?digzee wrote:It doesn't matter how good the boxer is but how durable they are when your talking about stopping someone, I would say Periban is more durable then Groves, also the punch that floored Dirrell would have sent Groves into next week Froch style.wesshaw1985 wrote:whos the best guy DeGale has stopped?lefty wrote: Groves would get stopped in a rematch imo.

They've both been stopped once, Groves by Froch (a supposed power puncher), Periban by DeGale. A DeGale that didn't stop Groves when they met.
Now DeGale has stepped up in level (Dirrell and Bute) he is 0 for 2 in terms of kos.
I believe Groves is on the same level as Bute and Dirrell so I have no reason to believe DeGale would ko him either...
Re: DeGale quotes on Hearn
Agree 100%, The least Hearn could have done was got Froch to vacate while he fucked everyone around (Froch is a big headed prick and attention seeking whore who wanted everyone to beg him to fight again), DeGale could of won the belt but Froch didn't want anyone taking the limelight. Hearn let his personal relationship get in the way of business, fornicate him.rio wrote:What Hearn did to Degale was a disgrace. Re: DeGale quotes on Hearn
I came to that because Groves has been rocked plenty of times including in the ams with head gear, while all the times I have seen Periban he has looked a typical tough Mexican.wesshaw1985 wrote:how do you come to the conclusion Periban is more durable than Groves?digzee wrote:It doesn't matter how good the boxer is but how durable they are when your talking about stopping someone, I would say Periban is more durable then Groves, also the punch that floored Dirrell would have sent Groves into next week Froch style.wesshaw1985 wrote: whos the best guy DeGale has stopped?

Do you really think Groves would have got up from the punch DeGale dropped Dirrell with? what do you mean "I believe Groves is on the same level as Bute and Dirrell"? Are you talking skill wise? Or as in durability?

The guy starts to sound like his idiot manager. Forgot his name, little trash talking prick.

I mean, I believe Groves of equal skill to both Dirrell and Bute. If they were to be matched up they would be 50/50 fights.digzee wrote:I came to that because Groves has been rocked plenty of times including in the ams with head gear, while all the times I have seen Periban he has looked a typical tough Mexican.wesshaw1985 wrote:how do you come to the conclusion Periban is more durable than Groves?digzee wrote: It doesn't matter how good the boxer is but how durable they are when your talking about stopping someone, I would say Periban is more durable then Groves, also the punch that floored Dirrell would have sent Groves into next week Froch style.

Do you think DeGale would have got up from the punch Groves dropped Froch with?
Its hypothetical.
Facts are they went the distance once. DeGale hasn't stopped anybody since he has moved up in level from Periban, I believe Groves is a level above Periban (as do all the governing bodies) so I would edge towards DeGale not stopping him either...
Re: DeGale quotes on Hearn
This is no surprise really, we have all seen this coming since Haymon came involved.Hearn has barely mentioned the Medina fight snd said that Degale-Jack isn't ppv worthy, If Haymon had his own Tv deal and promotional arm in the UK you would never see Degale on a Matchroom show again . It's not a huge loss in the grand scheme of things despite Degales talent, this has been building for a while but I still expect Degale-Smith will be made next year on ppv of course.

Also, how an you say Froch isn't a power puncher, yet you are so certain DeGale would ko Groves?digzee wrote:I came to that because Groves has been rocked plenty of times including in the ams with head gear, while all the times I have seen Periban he has looked a typical tough Mexican.wesshaw1985 wrote:how do you come to the conclusion Periban is more durable than Groves?digzee wrote: It doesn't matter how good the boxer is but how durable they are when your talking about stopping someone, I would say Periban is more durable then Groves, also the punch that floored Dirrell would have sent Groves into next week Froch style.

Bute for starters, Froch ko'd him, DeGale didn't.
Groves, Froch ko'd him "twice", DeGale didn't.
Very strange argument you are making...
