Hi Everyone,
I wrote a long article about women's boxing in Germany and all the corruption that is there with one of their fake world champions. It takes about 90 minutes to read. I interviewed the GBU and WIBF Presidents in the article as well as my own extensive research. I think it is the best article I ever wrote. I understand that you may not be interested in women's boxing, but I promise you that you will learn a lot from this article. The GBU president mentioned a new competitor to BoxRec called BoxingInfo that will be coming soon.

Re: article about corruption in Germany
Women's boxing ? Those two words don't work well together.
Re: article about corruption in Germany
Corruption in boxing shocker.
The well established sanctioning bodies in men's boxing are bad enough, so it's no surprise the fly-by-night merchants in female boxing are little better than confidence tricksters.

Can you say what's in it in short? I can't spend 90 minits on my phone reading all of it.

Its not 90 minutes. I was halfway through in about 20...asdfjkl wrote:Can you say what's in it in short? I can't spend 90 minits on my phone reading all of it.
Re: article about corruption in Germany
Well, if you read really fast, I guess it will take 60 minutes. Basically, the article is an investigation into the career of Elina Tissen who is a German featherweight and she currently holds the GBU and WIBF titles. If you look at her opponents that she fought on her BoxRec page, you will see that she usually fights women with losing or mediocre records. The German sanctioning bodies GBC and GBU have enabled Tissen to be a world champion in spite of the fact that she is not a world-class boxer. The WIBF which is based in the U.S. is also involved because it is affiliated with the GBU. Tissen's somewhat high BoxRec rating is due to biased decisions when she fought two legitimate contenders and won, but she should have lost. This is based on video evidence for one of the fights and I translated all the German articles to English that I could find using Google Translate which provides evidence for this as well. Also, the World Boxing Federation (WBF) was briefly working together with the GBU and WIBF, but the WBF decided to stop doing business with the GBU/WIBF because of GBU President Jurgen Lutz of Germany allowing Maiki Hundt who is the trainer/manager of Elina Tissen to select the officials for one of her title fights. This was in a statement on the WBF website. It is probable in my opinion that Hundt selected the officials in previous fights of Tissen before this came to light because of an outside organization (WBF) being involved. The only reason why this came to light was because of the WBF doing what they called a "unified women's title" with the GBU and WIBF. These two organizations (GBU/WIBF) are actually one company, but have two sanctioning bodies within the same company. The GBU is based in Germany led by Lutz and the WIBF is led by Barbara Buttrick in the U.S. There are currently no WIBF fights in the U.S., so all the fights are in Europe right now even though the WIBF was founded in America in 1993.
I interviewed Buttrick and Lutz. Lutz revealed to me that there will be a new boxing records website to compete with BoxRec which I believe will be based in Germany based on the fact that Lutz told me that German promoters had a meeting to plan and implement this new records website which Lutz said is backed by someone who has a lot of money. Lutz said that there are German promoters who do not like where their boxers are ranked and since BoxRec is the most popular ratings system in the world and the promoters in Germany cannot control it, they want to make a new ratings system that I believe they will try to manipulate in some way that will be advantageous to the boxers that they promote. Tissen's whole career is very unusual for someone with her mediocre ability to have been a world champion in three different weight classes. Tissen has a lot of corporate sponsors and she is more of a German media darling than a boxer. Hundt was not happy with my article and he has a video response on Tissen's Facebook page in which he made fun of my last name by calling me Scarface and he said essentially that everyone knows what I wrote is true, but that does not mean the end of Tissen's career. Tissen can only have a career in Germany and she is able to because of the sponsors and she fights there exclusively and her trainer/manager has been allowed to select the officials (judges and referee) for her fights instead of the German Federation BDB which normally chose the officials when Buttrick was in Germany. Now that Buttrick is 86 years old and Lutz is doing everything, he is doing things behind Buttrick's back and she had no knowledge of the WBF statement because nobody including Lutz informed her of it. Lutz conveniently did not remember/recall anything that he did that was corrupt in my interview except for that he told me that Hundt selects the opponents for Tissen, so the trainer for the "world champion" is allowed to select the opponents in her title defenses instead of the sanctioning body doing this. Buttrick did not know that Tissen was fighting creampuffs for the last four years. It is not really a women's boxing article to me. It is more a corruption of boxing in Germany article, so read my article if you want to know more about that. If you want to hear what 2 sanctioning body presidents have to say (I think it is unusual if you can talk to any of them), then read my article for that reason.

Re: article about corruption in Germany
Can someone do me a favor who understands the German language? Hundt made a video response to my article on Tissen's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/tissen). Can someone translate what he is saying because I can only translate when German is in writing for the Google Translate. He talks in English only towards the end of the video which is about 4 minutes in length. I see that a lot of people are viewing the video, but only 5 people gave it a "thumbs up." I guess the Germans know that he is full of bologna.
