St andrews fight results

Post by ThereByTheGrace »

Gary Murray won points in a 4 rounder against sylwester walczak. Looked ok was 40-36

Sam Ball won on points against Zaurs Sadihovs. Sam looks a top prospect who can go far he was really trying for the ko was unlucky not to get it but he was very impressive all the same.

Iron mike towell won by ko against Miguel Aguilar. Looked good again and did well.

Guest of honour was spencer Oliver. Spencer spoke honestly about his incident in the ring and how sky gave him an opportunity to be a pundit on boxing after he wrote to them. He was really open with how it affected him and all in all it was a really good night. Highly recommended!

Been hearing good things about Sam Ball. He's a local lad but I don't know him. Says on his record he's only 5foot and boxes at Welter? That surely can't be right can it?

Na hes not 5 foot! Thats not right at all! Yeah I was very impressed with him I hope he can keep up the good work and go far!

Hes well worth watching he has all the tools to make it, even though he didn't get the ko the guy was just surviving and wasn't really attacking

Still only 20 so no doubt he'll develope even more power in the next few years. I thought the five foot thing seemed odd lol. Hopefully they put on another show over this way and I can get a look at him.

I heard it was Aguilar early in the week... He went 3 with Rabchenko who is a European level fighter.. Although was badly hurt in the first. He's small so I expected a quick stoppage but Mike is doing what is needing blowing everyone away. I'm not sure that he's ready for Skeete but a final eliminator v Foot or Wellborn will tell us more where he is at. Seems he has the power to stop people at this weight could be good for Dundee boxing if he takes his chance
