I was lucky enough to sit in on Chris Pyatt sparring Adrian Carew/Dodson, which was a bit nice. Adrian was considered a world class prospect at the time.
Really wish I'd seen Larry Holmes.

olson was a very game and exciting canadian who flies under the radar. where did u see bramble mate? Remember watchin both his mancini wars on itv! Another good shout

I saw him fight Oba Carr at The Palace in Auburn Hills. I thought he won the fight, but Carr got it.

I was at the same bills. Collins beat Gerhard Botes in a dull fight. Benn against Gent was a right laugh. I did a lovely combo of a (I think) Double Dove & some other pill & joined in with the Gent fans singing "Saaf Laahndahn, Saaf Laahndahn, Saaf Laahndahn". It was a proper laugh & the type you don't really get in the US.
The Benn Wharton bill was a cracker. Watching (a bloke I picked as successor to Sugar Ray Leonard) Michael Nunn get beat by a small, light punching Steve Little - who was dead a few years later from cancer.
