Aussie Prospect Zac Dunn might be having a fight in the UK soon. I've been following his career for a couple of years now & rate the lad.
I know he struggled against Derrick Findley in his US debut but every prospect needs fights like that. Findley went the distance with Andre Ward, beat Andrzej Fonfara in 2 and has either beaten or gone tough rounds with a host of decent prospects.
Who do you think would be a good match for him in Britain? I think he could be Luke Blacklege for the Commonwealth title & then go in for a decent fight against Rocky from Stocky.
Cheers

Who is his manager ?
Is there a strategic reason shy he wants to fight in the UK ? - I only ask as there won't be many in the top 10 super-middles who would willingly take him on.

His manager is the Aussie great Barry Michael. He is a friend of a very good friend of mine in Melbourne so we have the odd natter online.bripez wrote:Who is his manager ?

And why would he want to fight in the UK? Have a butchers at the UK scene Bripez & the answer will become apparent. Britain is the place to be for boxing now. Remember what it did for Katsidis and that was before the current hot scene.
Him & Blacklege would be a good bout for both fighters.

I'd like to see him fight Fielding. Both look strong but limited and it would probably be a fun fight.

Plus Barry Michael himself will know that it can be a good-value move to fight in the UK - he won and lost his IBF title here, and also had a couple of eight-rounders. Maybe he's thinking the same sort of thing for Dunn.Taansend wrote:His manager is the Aussie great Barry Michael. I've just looked at his record and the only time he fought out of Oz he won on a SD against a journey man... His decent but when you look into who he fought it's very padded.

Mate, have you looked at which journeyman though. When Findley is switched on he's a handful for nearly anyone.Londonirish wrote:I've just looked at his record and the only time he fought out of Oz he won on a SD against a journey man... I don't know how good Dunn could be but big punching supermiddles are always welcome.

Bursak win is pretty good as well, there's plenty of good match ups to be made over here. But first Zac needs to get noticed here, otherwise he's a risky fight with not much reward.
Patrick Mendy would be a good start for him here

Blackledge for the commonwealth would make sense.
