Benn V McClellan might be the best fight I've watched back from a British point of view (obviously minus the health implications).

For me it was Lennox Lewis ko of Rahman,he should never have lost to him in the first fight and the rematch showed exactly why,that punch made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up

yep benn v mclellan was the most engrossing fight ive ever seen, cant imagine what it must of been like in the arena but it was absolutely mental in the pub i watched it in, special mention also to benn v watson as it was the first fight i ever watched and was instantly converted into a boxing nut !

Froch stopping Taylor with only seconds left was great to watch although it was shown on delay over here it was still thrilling as was Barker being announced as world champion

Calzaghe's dismantling of Lacy,Tszyu quitting on his stool against Hatton and Burns doing the unthinkable by turning the Martinez fight around after being on the floor early and I can actually remember thinking "hang on a minute,I think Ricky might be doing this"

prescott beating khan was a real WTF moment, just wasnt expecting it and it all happened so quick i had to rewatch it about ten times just to process it

I've never really been able to afford to go to many but the atmosphere in Manchester for the first Froch v Groves fight will, I doubt, ever be matched. It was electric, especially after George decked Froch in the first. That night had everything.

For me it was being there when Lennox beat Holyfield to win the titles back in 1999, blimey I'm old!!

Went to the first fight in New York and felt so flat when the draw was announced, my union jack tied around my shoulders and trudging off into the night with my mate, we found a bar and just sat there till about 5am just looking at each other and uttering various levels of expletives to each other.

Got up the next morning and rung the missus before going to the airport and she said they are talking about a rematch in Vegas later this year, are you going? I did the honorable thing and said we can't afford it luv, she said bugger that, it was a robbery you have to go, I knew that moment that she was a keeper. The rest as they say is history and I was chuffed to be part of it, that for me although perhaps selfishly was my best boxing moment.

It was live on Primetime PPV, I had to watch it on a dodgy laptop and remember dancing around my bedroom around 4am when Carl got the stoppage

Not quite to the scale of the other moments suggested, but Barker's victory over Geale was one of those moments only boxing can really provide. Sure he was never an elite level middleweight, but it was a terrific fight against a very decent opponent in the early hours of the morning. I hadn't even planned on staying up for it, but I found myself still awake around half one and thought, why not. I had only just gotten into boxing seriously, and that was the first fight that really gave me a glimpse into the type of nights it can provide.

Not quite the level but on a personal note seeing Derry knock Crolla out was great not long after Marsili had beaten him up brought in as an opponent Crolla was 1-7 , to be fair had his head jabbed of for 2 and a half rounds then boom one punch changed everything great for his first fight back with Danny and always good to see a friend win a British title which he had never boxed for before then!

Maybe not the most glamorous reply but watching a young Mathew Macklin win in the early rounds of the ABA's,1st fight against Jamie scanlon,2nd round against my pal terry Adams from Birmingham Irish,the best amateur I ever seen,just really stuck with me

Great fighter was Class as an Am used to train with him weekends at England squads, he had a great fight with a good friend of mine Lee Beavis "Beavo"... Lee was 9-0 as a pro...

Going to my very first Pro-Boxing show in 02 arena in Dublin and watching Bernard Dunne stop Richardo Cordoba in a cracking fight with an unbelievable atmosphere in the 02 that night.

Both of my moments have been mentioned but I will explain why they are special to me.

Danny Williams-Mike Tyson

Growing up Williams was my favourite fighter. Saw him as a amateur and followed him as pro. Told anyone that would listen he'd become world champion and a British great. He took me on a emotional rollercoaster his career that I'm forever grateful for.
On the Tyson night all my 'casual' mates came over cheering for Tyson (the ultimate casual favourite). When the final punches started landing I was jumping up and down and screaming. I was fighting back the tears I was that happy, my mates unsure how to act decided to start a round of applause for Danny that lasted about 5 minutes. (Priceless moment).

My daughter had just been born and all her family (who hated me) came down to stay the night of the fight.
I snuck into the kitchen and spent about 2 hours to buy the official feed from showtime (the fight was only available online not on tv). On the edge of frustration and giving up the signal improved just as the ring walks started. I managed to keep quiet until the last round when again I lost control and went mental. I woke up baby,missus, her parents and grandparents. They tried giving me a lecture but I was too busy jumping around. (We split up shortly after )

Yes, great great fight and win for Nigel Benn, marred by the tragic aftermath. I still think its the best ever performance by a British fighter in my lifetime
