Look out though 'cos here come the Ts (open to suggestions on the name).

HW - Mike Tyson
LHW - Gene Tunney
MW - Dick Tiger
WW - Felix Trinidad
LW - Lew Tendler

Probably only T and W left that might challenge the LTL.

Edit: wait, forgot about SPINKS & STEELE!

Louis KOs L Spinks
Langford gets a tight decision win on M Spinks
Steele decisions LaMotta
SR Leonard KOs C Spinks
B Leonard KOs L Spinks III (surely there's a better S___ lightweight out there?)
Louis does Tyson Buster style
Tunney stops Langford late on cuts
Tiger decisions Lamotta
SRL outboxes Felix and stops him late
Leonard decisions Tendler (for a third time)

3-2 to the LTLs. I was so tempted to be controversial and have Tyson shocking the world but I thought I better not.

U is going to be tough. I'm likely going to start with Ustinov. Give me a few minutes

Under-rated underdogs

HW - Paulino Uzcudun with wins over Max Baer, Harry Wills and a draw with schmelling, he has to be a live underdog. (Ignore the late loss to Louis he was done by then. )
LHW -Oleksandr Usyk boils down to the 175 limit (seriously guys, it's that or I bring Jose Uzcategui up from 160)
MW - Tommy Uren. His name's piss. He's not much better
WW- George Unwin
LW- Alfredo Urbina

LW- Alfredo Urbina
Louis crushes Uzcudun
Langford KOs a weight-drained Usyk
Lamotta pisses all over Uren
SRL keeps the Under-rated underdogs Unwin(nable)
Leonard decisions Urbina

HW -- Nikolai Valuev
LHW -- Gert Van Heerden

Both were truly great fighters. Ross was more of a lt welter, welter than a lightweight really and was very clever and a great all rounder. Leonard though was an all time great lightweight prob top 3/4 and a brilliant brilliant boxer. Ross wasn't a devastating puncher and I'd be very surprised if at lightweight he could outscore leonard :)

Nothing genius about it.
These were the product of scrawling through page apon page of Boxrec rankings.
Although a couple names are familiar I wouldn't have thought of any of them myself without hinting through the rankings.

I thought Q might have been hard but on reflection U must have thrown up the worst team so far.
I suspect only X will be worse although Dr Charles Xavier weighed 152lbs between preventing epic global catastrophes and he's fornicate up the entire LTL team.

Ah ah. You never scored the Vim and Valour team.
Surely my team must stand!

As I put Walker in at MW I chose Whittaker, who has a better chance of getting the W that Holman surely.

Actually this may be stronger with Whittaker in there. Do they beat the LTL's though??

Cheating, but not bad

The best Baer could possibly KO Wills but the majority of times it goes the other way.
Ward outpoints Maxim.
Walker busts up Sturm who does well the survive the 15.
Whitaker is given a hard fight by TKLewis but with fair judging prevails.
Williams gets the late KO on Arguello.

5-0.

Young Boys Burned

HW - Jimmy Young
LHW - Tommy Yarosz
MW - Teddy Yarosz
WW - Terry Young (not great but did somehow get a points win over Beau Jack at one point)

4-1

the Z train are actually a big threat to the WWs

I can see Whittaker outscoring Zivic no problem and Monzon beating Walker but the other 3 are all too close to call. First I thought Charles would beat Ward but then...mmm not so sure and Wills/Frazier too.

Let's do it all again at the lighter weights!

Also, this time, in addition to the team name, please designate
a team captain. When your team captain wins, he gets 2x points.

ACES FIVE

Super Feather -- Alexis Arguello
Feather -- Abe Attell
Bantam -- Paulie Ayala
Fly -- Yuri Arbachakov (CAPTAIN)
Light Fly -- Jorge Arce

Wait a god damn minute here.

The Z's come along to take on my mighty W's in the tournament grand finale. It's a tough one to score, a real pick em match to crown the undisputed ABC champions and we're moving on without anyone scoring it?

HW - Wills Vs Frazier
LHW - Ward vs Ezzard
MW - Walker vs Monzon
WW - Whittaker vs Zivic
LW - Williams vs Ortiz

Myself and Cutman scabbers are exempt from scoring our own teams.
