Looks like Haymon has his piece of Joshua

Post by montrealsuper »

Charles martin surrendered the belt and got his payday for Haymon to get his hands on a piece of Joshua who is FAR more sellable than martin - today Joshua signs long term deal with Showtime where of course we know Haymon owns SHowtime boxing head Steve Espinoza - Looks like Joshua is going to be protected and built up to be an American star - Hearn making the secret deal with shadow partner Haymon to be part of Joshua looks like what has happened -

Considering Joshua still has less than 20 Professional fights I wouldn't criticize him much. I've seen a lot of fighters protected way harder, much deeper into their careers.

His opposition has been solid for 16 fights and I don't view him as fighter who has been protected. I think he was matched respectably for the stages of his career he was at, and it just so happened that he was suddenly put into a world title fight because a great opportunity came to win a belt.

Giving an honest opinion doesn't mean you're kissing a guys ass. How were we supposed to know you were joking? Sarcasm often doesn't come across in the written word.

Agree completely but having that title now opens them up to criticism if they do match him softly. I don't expect him to matched that softly though, I really think they believe in him and think he'll be number one.
