I'm not the biggest Tyson fan, but I think retiring after the rematch would be a great move for him regardless of if he wins or not. He'd have made good money from winning the belt & I'm assuming considerably more from the rematch.

Yes he'll be turning his back on big money fights in the future but he'll already be set for life financially & can get out of a tough sport without any injuries so he can enjoy his life. Good luck to him if that's the case because boxing's had enough tragic stories.

If he retires after his next fight. Good on him. The best know when to get out on top. He has probably set his family up for life financially. The way he blows up between fights will probably lead to harder camps as he gets older and possibly injuries.

Yes we are deprived of potential fights with Joshua and wilder, however I don't think they would be much different to the wlad fight. Fury will run around avoiding fighting so he doesn't get hit and potentially put down.

By getting out before he receives any physical damage. Understanding that health, and being there for your family is more important than potential future earnings ( given that he's loaded already). That could be considered an intelligent decision.

Also, pissing off the relentless critics that are literally itching to see him fail. (not you BF, we both know how you REALLY feel )
