Agree.

A year ago he said he was potless. 7 years ago he said he had a million. Probably both were an exaggeration.

I think 3 or 4 months on the couch and he’ll miss being talked about. You think Fury has the patience or temprament to sit on his arse watching Joshua get cash and attention? I don’t.

I don’t know if he is a flambuoyant spender but if he comes back in 3 or 4 years them Lancashire pies he enjoys will be a LOT harder to shift - and he knows that.

Fury says so much different contradicting crazy stuff that Klitschko's head will be spinning in a dizzy confusion 50 years after he departs this world :) Fury will fight for as long as he can make $$$ -

Yes, I can imagine this scenario very easily. I'd imagine Tyson would struggle a lot with inactivity.

Maybe these burdens are too much for Tyson to carry?

Well at least let's hope he can get in good enough shape physically and mentally to negate Wlad again. Hope he doesn't get remembered as the guy who fluked one time vs Klitschko. Though if he does, he'll be well paid for it.

Interestingly, my prediction for Fury a few years ago was he'd make it to a Wlad fight, get destroyed, and retire a happy man on the payday as in haha, I got paid x million to get beaten up. Maybe I was just a fight or two late in my prediction?
It does seem he's rather mercurial - it could all be a wheeze, but I suspect not - not judging by the look on Mick Hennessy's face during their press conferences, clearly he's a creature of whim and stream of consciousness.
be a shame after all Hennessy's setbacks to lose the big earner, who holds the biggest prize.

Hope Fury can settle on a consistent mood.

He's only just scaled the top of the mountain, he still has doubters and I hope he doesn't throw it away and regret it later.

I mean the Joshua fight could be huge. They could fill a lot of people in an arena of course and the PPV over here and in the states given Joshua's Showtime contract.

I think it would be the biggest British Heavyweight fight since the days of Cooper.

I agree. Tyson just seems to say what is in his head and heart when he is asked - ask him on a different day and his answer may well be different. More interesting than being media-trained to the nth degree, though.

PS - love the separate geopolitical debate that has arisen - wouldn't get that kind of quality on CS...
I'll grant that, it's certainly unpredictable.

Yes, on the current scene there'd already be several people banned, and various threats and boasts about how much various people can bench thrown around, though I am worrying about Wesshaw turning up at my doorstep shouting pussy through my letterbox at this stage. :TU:
I can bench more than any former female leader of a Muslim country, particularly the dead ones.

I'll have a go against the male ones too, apart from Sultan Qaboos of Oman. He's ripped.

If he were to beat Wlad again then quit he couldn't be seen as a failure. A disappointment? Maybe yeah. Unfulfilled potential? Definitely. But not a failure.

If he were to lose to Wlad then wrap it he would be seen as nothing more than a flash in the pan at world level IMO.

I don't get Fury's reaction, the only reason I can think out for him is saying he wants to retire is to get as much money as possible in any future negotiation. I mean, who's going to train all his life, got the skills to combine all the belts and in the end, even after beating Klitschko, simply refuse to finish it?

Fighting 30+ men and then refuse the latest 2 matches (Wilder and AJ)?

People can do what they want with their lives and others can judge them how they wish.

Fair do's - we have a difference of opinion on that, according to Wesshaw we need to now meet up and pummel the living daylights out of one another - or do we need to get really angry first, I'm never quite sure how this works, I just don't want to leave this debate feeling like a pussy.

Can someone advise on the next best course of action?

before he quits he has to beat Klitshcko again.
It is up to his team to make sure he stays busy and doesn't get out of shape again after the Klit fight.
Wilder and Joshua are the only names left to take.
If neither is available directly after the Klit fight I would take on Haye...

I'm not passionate enough about it to fight yet.

Give it time Horse, it might be a slow burner - at my age I find myself waking up in the middle of the night raging, but unaware of what at.

He'd be see as what Collins was to Benn and Eubank or what Tarver was to Jones Jr. The guy who could negate the top guy, but who didn't have a deep body of work himself. He'd be a part of history but not one of the major champions.

Possibly but then we'd never know. Collins had lost to a couple of the top guys before he met Eubank or Benn and Tarver was beaten before and after Jones. There would always be question marks if he were to just pack it in. Let's hope he doesn't because he's a breath of fresh air IMO.

It would seem ironic for a gypsy to walk away from the heavyweight title.
If Klitschko beats him, he’ll fight Wilder...Joshua....won’t want to go into the shadows on a loss.
If he beats Klitschko, he’ll fight Wilder or Joshua.
I doubt he’ll ever fight Haye. He’s already got the big win over the man that scared the bjesus out of Haye.
