Golovkin got Wade out the way.
Canelo fights Khan in a few hours.
Until then i can't be arsed with Canelo-GGG speculation. 1 fight at time.

I think Golovkin should try to fight the winner of Jack/DeGale. He has good chances to win that fight and have that signature win on his record. Zurdo Ramirez would be a good fight too. Canelo, Saunders and Jacobs will keep avoid him.

Canelo is absolutely right.
I don't even like khan but shiit even he has paid his dues fightting the elite.

In that case perhaps GGG should let Garcia and Peterson beat him.....maybe Canelo would fight him then.

He's right. Has GG ever even fought in the 155 division? Earn your shot man

Indeed, Golovkin has to beat someone notable from the 155 division to have a shot at Canelo.

this bull about golovkin not fighting top opposition has got to stop man. dude cleared out all of mw division top 20. only a small handfull left. and they are now at the top cause they havent fought golockin yet. And the openly refuse so ! poor guy. Canelo and oscar are a freakin joke !
Re: Canelo to GGG "He needs to work his way up. He needs to earn his shot."
That's a little silly to think that Canelo would take a dive against Floyd. Floyd knew that Canelo was green and overrated so he stuck at the right time. I think Canelo is twice the boxer now than he was against Floyd.montrealsuper wrote:Haymon is the boss and Haymon can easily manipulate Garcia to play soft on Floyd for a nice bonus - just like Haymon and Espinoza manipulated Canelo to go soft on Floyd -caldo2025 wrote:There's no way Floyd takes a fight with Danny Garcia. I thought the Floyd Interview was funny though. He admits to being "fat and over160" during the interview but when asked about fighting GGG, Floyd says that "we all know that he can't even make 155". It's amazing how someone THAT dumb could make this kind of money in this world.

This small handful of mw fighters are acting the same way like Canelo. Saunders, Eubank Jr and Jacobs are scared to lose against Golovkin.Butterbean wrote:this bull about golovkin not fighting top opposition has got to stop man. dude cleared out all of mw division top 20. only a small handfull left. and they are now at the top cause they havent fought golockin yet. It's not about Floyd being dumb, it's more about how dumbest and fool can be the casuals that are buying these CON fights. Floyd always ducks straight answers in interviews and talks his nonsenses just to protect himself from the media.caldo2025 wrote:That's a little silly to think that Canelo would take a dive against Floyd. sounds like he is pumping himself
into confidence, not a convincing
sign. but who can blame him? he
is the guy who definitely has to
face GGG and has no real place to
hide.

Re: Canelo to GGG "He needs to work his way up. He needs to earn his shot."
Bernard Hopkins of Golden Boy says that GGG needs to fight Kovalev to earn a shot at Canelo. I have never made a disparaging remark about Canelo, I have always liked him, but this is becoming farcical. This is a relatively knew thing in boxing. The best used to fight the best, now the best can't get any fights and the next best claims to be the best by fighting second tier fighters.
Re: Canelo to GGG "He needs to work his way up. He needs to earn his shot."
My only question: how long would Amir Khan have lasted against GGG ??
Two rounds? Four Rounds?

Re: Canelo to GGG "He needs to work his way up. He needs to earn his shot."
Honestly, I don't think Canelo will get waxed in 3-4 rounds against GGG. I think he's tough enough and trained well enough to weave his way -- and perhaps even have his moments.
I just don't think he matches up too good. That is, being shorter, arguably slower, and having less stamina.
