Makes sense. But HBO and the WBC are working in tandem on a made up weight division. HBO has no PPV stars except Canelo. They want to keep this going as long as possible.

ODH is going to be calling him and asking for the fight will not to be at 160. GGG's team has already been told that if you are handed the belt because Canelo is stripped that will do you no good. You have to agree to a catchweight. So far GGG has said no. So we will see. ODH is calling GGG about a catchweight that is all.

Team GGG should counter offer with a catchweight of 158. That way Canelo still gets to feel like he's getting an advantage even though he's really not. At 158 GGG will still be at full strength

Doesn't really matter now does it? I mean if Brook fought Khan straight off this loss Brook wouldn't get the same credit for it. It's not like the Welterweight division doesn't have several good fighters to fight.
