Pulev - Chisora live on AWE this Saturday
Re: Pulev - Chisora live on AWE this Saturday
Pulev is almost as boring as Wlad, just not so good.

It's up there but just 2 weeks ago was a lot worse. Josh Warrington vs Hisashi Amagasa. 107-120.Boxing Writer wrote:115:113 for Chisora is the worst card in boxing in recent years. Simply disgusting. 116:112 for Pulev is pretty bad too - no way fight was that close. I scored the fight 119:109 for Bulgarian.

That was some of the worst scoring I've seen.Exoddus wrote:It's up there but just 2 weeks ago was a lot worse. Maybe he doesn't like boxers who are clinching and avoiding fight, I understand him.x2x wrote:Pulev won every round but one...and yet a so-called judge, Beat Hausammann from Switzerland, gave the fight to Chisora! I want to examine his bank records to see about any large deposits that he just made:
Another so-called judge had it far too close. Unbelievable but they almost gave it to Chisora!

Judges like Beat Hausammann are damaging to the sport of boxing.
We need reliable, competent and honest judges' scoring, or boxing loses what credibility it still has.

Split decision ?!?! Bahaha. Nothing like making sure the books cash in on those unanimous decision bettors. F'n disgraceful rig job.
Re: Pulev - Chisora live on AWE this Saturday
That was a horrible fight, most on the part of Pulev. Chisora has only himself to blame for not stepping up...either he cannot
or Pulev is a tough weight of nothing to move around, Pulev’s boxing skills are limited.

Same here, 119 - 109. But if I wanted to be overly generous to Chisora I could have made it 118 - 110. The two TV announcers were split on those two scores as well. If phony judge #2 manipulated his numbers just a little bit more, combined with the Swiss felon, the fight would have been declared a draw. Unbelivable.
Why the hell was Pulev applauding when they announced the phony Swiss judgette's phony score? Is he stupid? He should have been outraged.
Pulev has a very excellent jab. He beat up Chisora with it.
Re: Pulev - Chisora live on AWE this Saturday
Pulev did not beat up Chisora, Pulev showed himself to be a limited fighter. He will get another shot at the title and get blasted out by the top fighters. Good warm up fight for Luis Ortiz.

I really had wanted to see this. sounds like I didn't miss much. Thought beforehand a Chisora upset wasn't out of the question.
Re: Pulev - Chisora live on AWE this Saturday
Watched it now.
My 2c.
117-111 Pulev
115-113 Chisora is one of the worst cards in boxing history, but the referee was so bad, the judge could say Chisora was fighting Pulev and the referee.
Was the ref constantly warning Chisora for being back or British? Not trying to play the race card or nationality card but that ref needs to learn if he's going to be a crook he needs to make it much less obvious.

Ya the ref was clearly on Pulev's side. Chisora got really fed up with him at one point and I thought a Sprott-Gerber I redo may have been coming.

No of course you're not. That's why you just said that.
In fact the ref was much too lenient with Chisora. He should have been warned in the strongest terms that he would be disqualified if he laid hands on him again or shouted at him again like he did in round eight. Chisora was repeatedly hitting behind the head and also using his elbows

Then why were Chisora's eyes almost swollen shut?

Pulev was using his elbows and his forearms and constantly pushing down on Chisora. It was a dirty fight all around but Chisora was constantly getting warned and Pulev was getting away with everything. There were times the ref clearly saw Pulev's infractions and he ignored them. I don't know what the ref's motivations are but he did a terribly one sided job and was as off as the judge who thought Chisora won.

AWE needs to work on its scheduling. I set my DVR to record 30 minutes beyond the end time, and it cut off the last few rounds of Pulev/Chisora and I didn't get to see ANY of the Crolla fight.
