Blokes who put ten pounds on overnight are usually tight at the weight and dried out when they weigh in, Khan was already well over his natural weight so I doubt he put on more than a pound or two?freddydoesdallas wrote:I'm guessing he was weighing more than 155 on fight. Probably around 165

Yes, Khan didn't look at all drained. He probably didn't put much if anything on.Sisyphus wrote:Blokes who put ten pounds on overnight are usually tight at the weight and dried out when they weigh in, Khan was already well over his natural weight so I doubt he put on more than a pound or two?freddydoesdallas wrote:I'm guessing he was weighing more than 155 on fight. He weighed 164 on Monday so I would expect he was preparing to fight at that weightSisyphus wrote:Blokes who put ten pounds on overnight are usually tight at the weight and dried out when they weigh in, Khan was already well over his natural weight so I doubt he put on more than a pound or two?freddydoesdallas wrote:I'm guessing he was weighing more than 155 on fight. He looked it too.Counter-puncher wrote:Apparently khan was 163?
It was strange seeing the normally beanpole like Khan with so much timber on him.
He needs to preferably quit, or put his money where his mouth is, get back down to welterweight & take on some of the beasts down there.

Welter is where he needs to go now. There's not going to be many that will come in above 163 which he could be working towardsSyntax Error wrote:He looked it too.Counter-puncher wrote:Apparently khan was 163?

He was offered more than 13 Million to fight Brook? I find that hard to believe.keithmoonhangover wrote:He was offered more money on fight Brook. It was mentioned in the build up to the fight by Bunce and I'm sure I heard Khan say it as well.gilgamesh wrote:He was offered more than 13 Million to fight Brook? Golovkin or BJS at MW.
Cotto or Liam Smith at LMW.
Garcia, Vargas, Broner, Bradley or Thurman/Porter at WW.
He still holds the power in negotiations with Brook...
Are you serious. He'd get torn to shreds yet again.
I bet he's glad you aren't his matchmaker.

Golovkin at MW would simply be a bargaining argument when negotiating with Brook not a realistic possibilityjamesmcdonnell wrote:Golovkin at MW!!???wesshaw1985 wrote:Khan still has plenty of options.tony1234 wrote:Only man happy last night was Eddie Hearn, nowhere really to go now for Khan

So you think he'd get leverage from a bargaining chip that everyone knew was utter horseshit. Some very odd logic, or lack thereof.wesshaw1985 wrote:Golovkin at MW would simply be a bargaining argument when negotiating with Brook not a realistic possibilityjamesmcdonnell wrote:Golovkin at MW!!???wesshaw1985 wrote: Khan still has plenty of options.

If I was khan I would argue that all the fighters I listed could be potential future opponents with nice paydays. Brook is just another name on that list so Brook needs Khan more than Khan needs Brook. Thus Khan is in the power position...

I'm not getting anything in a twist, but the fact is, using GGG's name as a bargaining tool in negotiations would be absolutely risible, nobody on god's earth would believe it's a fight Khan would want.wesshaw1985 wrote:Dont get your panties in a bunch jimbo.jamesmcdonnell wrote:So you think he'd get leverage from a bargaining chip that everyone knew was utter horseshit. But would Golovkin want it and would they offer decent money to make it happen.jamesmcdonnell wrote:I'm not getting anything in a twist, but the fact is, using GGG's name as a bargaining tool in negotiations would be absolutely risible, nobody on god's earth would believe it's a fight Khan would want.wesshaw1985 wrote:Dont get your panties in a bunch jimbo.jamesmcdonnell wrote:

Again, Khan has to show his table is full of offers (likely or not) to get the best deal out of Brook...

So if Jimbo was Khans manager for the day he wouldnt put a call into K2 simply to find out what a ball park figure to make the fight would be?jamesmcdonnell wrote:wesshaw1985 wrote:But would Golovkin want it and would they offer decent money to make it happen.jamesmcdonnell wrote:

Definitely not, certainly not after getting absolutely annihilated by Canelo. What is the point, it's just not a viable bargaining tool.wesshaw1985 wrote:So if Jimbo was Khans manager for the day he wouldnt put a call into K2 simply to find out what a ball park figure to make the fight would be?jamesmcdonnell wrote:wesshaw1985 wrote: But would Golovkin want it and would they offer decent money to make it happen.

Amir would surely threaten to take on other leading lights at WW, not MW. Khan has made it clear he's dropping down from MW.

If you think any manager worth his salt isn't looking at EVERY possibility, no matter how small and making calls to talk numbers then I have to think you are a little daft my good friend.
Wouldn't you say Canelo at MW was little bit of a curve ball, I didn't see it coming and neither did you.
Keep your options open...

CAN win - I don't assert that he has.
Khan could easily win the first 4 rounds vs...
Brook, Duran, Alvarez, Cotto, Pac, Floyd (?maybe) - just off the top of my head, and would almost certainly lose all those fights from that position..
