Wilder v Povetkin winner? Pulev v Chisora winner? Parker v Takam winner? There's options but I can't see it being any of them after Breazeale. Do you think he'll fight another two times after Breazeale this year?jamesmcdonnell wrote:Well, no surprises, as I said in another thread, the casuals are a fickle bunch, they aren't going to keep forking out for 1 or 2 round blowouts.mickey1975 wrote:Loads more tickets available on official website AXS. At some point the matches will have to become more significant or it will be diminishing returns.
Joshua needs a fight against someone the public have heard of, Haye, for one, Fury, at some stage, or at least a big name they've heard of, which admittedly, at this time, there are not many big name heavyweights, Wlad will be gone soon most likely win or lose, who is left?

Wilder not this year, Chisora or Pulev winner would be a good one, maybe possible.Stuarty30 wrote:Wilder v Povetkin winner? Pulev v Chisora winner? Parker v Takam winner? Probably Fury Wilder if they both win I'd imagine. If Chisora managed to beat Pulev I wouldn't mind that fight at all and same with Pulev. Hayes always going to be sniffing around.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Wilder not this year, Chisora or Pulev winner would be a good one, maybe possible.Stuarty30 wrote:Wilder v Povetkin winner? This is a one round bum blow out for £17 ,so stream it if u can , AJ will keep fighting these types of non credible opponents all the time the causal football fans keep buying in to the match room hype machine .
To the hardcore fans he is not the real IBF champion because he did not beat the legitimate IBF ,the belt was brokered for him
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Dominic Breazeale - June 25th 2016
I think people are getting distracted by Joshua's 'title'.
If Martin and Breazeale were just fights 16 and 17 for Joshua I don't think too many people would be concerned with the quality, or lack thereof.
Still 2 or 3 fights too early for bona fide top 5 opponents like Pulev, imo. Pretty sure that's fast Eddie's opinion too.

The losers of Parker v Takam or Chisora would be a step up from what he's fought and the Wilder V Povetin loser would be a massive step up.Stuarty30 wrote:Wilder v Povetkin winner? That's what we want but isn't it? Him being stepped up? I've no interest in the Chisora fight as it's a massacre of a contest. I quite like the thought of Pulev. Tricky and fairly mobile for his size.BitPlayer wrote:The losers of Parker v Takam or Chisora would be a step up from what he's fought and the Wilder V Povetin loser would be a massive step up.Stuarty30 wrote:Wilder v Povetkin winner? I agree. Chisora has little to offer now, especially against a huge puncher. It would be another 2 round job. Chisora lacks the speed or nous to last more than a handful of rounds and wouldn't even get near Joshua.Stuarty30 wrote:That's what we want but isn't it? Him being stepped up? Chisora is at British level now, cash out with fights against Whyte, Price and Hughie Fury then hes done.Stuarty30 wrote:That's what we want but isn't it? Him being stepped up? I cant see Hearn putting AJ in with Pulev, hes tricky and I don't think he does well numbers wise on PPV. Hearn was hoping Chisora won.
Same with Parker/Takam, if Takam wins they will insist on Takam vs. Pulev as a final eliminator.
If Parker wins I think he goes straight in with AJ...

Who, other than big domestic fights generates him any worthwhile paydays after that performance?
People will still get up for seeing him fight Whyte, Price and Hughie...

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Dominic Breazeale - June 25th 2016
im confused by the IBF rankings (surprise
)
Pulev v Chisora was for the number 2 spot.....
what happens to the winner of Takam v Parker?
ideally the winner of Parker v Takam would fight Pulev for the number 1 spot. By that time I think we'd have a really good matchup that would appeal to a large audience.
apart from that theres not much to choose from.
Jarrell Miller is a few fights away.
lord knows why Andy Ruiz is being managed so stupidly? Whats the point of digging up the 45 yr old Ray Austen? silly
Duhaupas is fresh from his Ko of Helenius but hes dull and wont appeal at this stage.

He sounds exactly like Charles Martin, he also had similar much luck, I doubt about who's the worst of the two.

I see Duhaupas on now Suddenly, but no Wach, or Povetkin, no Ortiz or Jennings. No Klitschko, no Jun Long Zhang, Trevor Brian looks to me like a bum if I check his picture, but his roundwinning numbers suggest else.

silly guy, just respect his power beforehand so you don't look stupid when you're knocked silly.
