Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
I personally want Khan to retire. He will get knocked out if he boxes Brook, he will get knocked out if he boxes Garcia again, he will get knocked out if he boxes Thurman and he will get knockout out if he boxes Manny Pacquaio.
There is no way that he won't slow down and switch off after the half-way mark in a fight, and they will all know this and take him out.
He is going to get badly hurt if he carries on. The same applies to Roy Jones jnr too.

Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
Khan has beaten nobody to give me any inclination he would beat any top Welterweight.
After consecutive losses to Peterson and Garcia, he's fought Molina (practically a bantam weight), Diaz (practically a pensioner), Algieri and Alexander, neither of whom could punch their way out of a wet paper bag.
Collazo is the only fighter on his welterweight record i'm even slightly impressed with, but he was long by his sell-by date.
I actually think Brook vs Canelo would be a cracking fight. Hard to say how good Brook is with the garbage on his record but I honestly think he could be up there with Alvarez.

Brook.
Although Brook has taken to fighting corpses in recent times, he's still an established WW & a big one at that.
Khan hasn't established himself at 147 yet IMHO & has a lot to prove.
It's all well & good being brave & going up to 155 to face the World 155lb Champion, but he needs to establish his credentials at his own weight first.
I'd personally like Khan to call it a day, although I accept he still has some fights left in him, but I don't think he can beat any of the top line WWs & there is no point in him treading water.

Khan.
There is no way Brook can live with Khan's status, fame, number of twitter followers and sponsorship deals. You know, all the things that matters when the bell rings.

You are correct on everything listed, this is why Hearn and Brook have to get realistic on how much they want or this fight will never hear the opening bell...G0mez wrote:Khan.

Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
Im surprised so many think this is a foregone conclucsion in Brooks favour - Lets have it right Brook has 1 win that means anything which was a very close decision over Porter which could of gone either way - People forget he wen life and death with Carson Jones cos he dealt with him handily in the rematch but that was at 152 or something like that - For me Brooks credentials as a top class fighter are much much more in question than Khans

I see your point entirely, cocobongo wrote:Im surprised so many think this is a foregone conclucsion in Brooks favour - Lets have it right Brook has 1 win that means anything which was a very close decision over Porter which could of gone either way - People forget he wen life and death with Carson Jones cos he dealt with him handily in the rematch but that was at 152 or something like that - For me Brooks credentials as a top class fighter are much much more in question than Khans
But an alternative view is that since Porter truly hit form, he could possibly give any welterweight a loss (apart from Mayweather) and blew away Paulie, bossed Alexander and recently trounced Broner. I very much doubt Khan would beat him whatsoever.
By the same token, Khan's credentials are set in stone with defeats to Lamont Peterson, KO losses to Prescott, Danny Garcia and nailed to the floor by Canelo. He squeeked past a 140 version of Maidana, but at 147 I think he gets ran over by him now he's been polished-up by Robert Garcia.
Khan got his first count against a journeyman with zero KO's - whereas Kell's had his nose broken badly but is a tough cookie and still won.
Khan would not beat Carson Jones 10 times out 10. He hits too hard for Khan to handle and whilst you'd expect Khan to soundly out-box him, Carson would only need one shot and Khan would be in deep trouble. Khan's beard is only getting worse with each concussive loss.

Like it or not Khan will be the draw for most people, irrespective of who is the title holder.
If this fight could be made then Brook would be nuts to let this slip through the net for a few quid (within reason of course) as Khan is now even more beatable than before.
Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
Brook knocks him out 100% confident of that. Not so sure it'll happen now. With the way Khan got despatched at the weekend there the fight has lost some of its appeal for me. I don't see it as being a hard fight for Brook. Hearn has to get his finger out and deliver a name for Brook. I've got a feeling it'll be Chavez next up.

It's all about styles and I think Khan's foot and hand speed wins him the fight. The way Khan handled Devon Alexander is an example of how well he can fight. Brook's good, but he ain't perfect.

I favour Brook for the simple reason he's too strong and powerful for Khan.
Still a close fight. But I favour Brook via KO.

Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
Easy win for Brook by another bad ko.
Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
I have always been confident that Brook would beat Khan comfortably. He would possibly even do it quicker than Canelo as Khan would be unlikely to show as much fear/respect to him.
Brook by KO.

you talking about the Carson Jones who was lucky to get a draw against super lightweight Dean Byrne ?G0mez wrote:I see your point entirely, cocobongo wrote:Im surprised so many think this is a foregone conclucsion in Brooks favour - Lets have it right Brook has 1 win that means anything which was a very close decision over Porter which could of gone either way - People forget he wen life and death with Carson Jones cos he dealt with him handily in the rematch but that was at 152 or something like that - For me Brooks credentials as a top class fighter are much much more in question than Khans

I've never thought Gomez the most impartial source where khan is concerned
Pretty sure you were saying collazo only had to catch khan once, too, Gomez my man?

Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
I'd have to go for Brook by ko, just can't imagine Khan being able to avoid a big shot for 12 rounds. It's be a re-run of the Canelo fight - Khan would look good and land some flashy combinations early, but he'd start to slow down after 3 or 4 rounds and Brook would be able to use his power and accuracy.
I think I always say this, but I'm genuinely amazed Khan has been as successful as he has, his chin really is shockingly fragile.

Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
I think Khan should retire. He has been badly knocked out several times now, and will again if he continues to box. Thast can't be good for you. He still has his marbles in tact and has made plenty of money, but always switches off during 12 rounds and against the big punchers he gets taken out.
I should say that I don't mean this negatively, but say it out of concern.

Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
Brook ...just as soon as some meaningful shots land.
Khan knows this too, hence the fight ain't happening. Khan can handle losing, but not to Brook.

Re: WHO WINS? Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
Oh yes, remember that one, when he was rocked himself first, then Rose got caught himself, trying to finish him, oh yes and the ref jumped in too soon, no worries, Rose beat him in the rematch. The same Carson Jones who got destroyed by brook in his rematch too.G0mez wrote:That's the guy, you know the one who knocked-out light middleweight Brian Rose in a round ?Anzi wrote: you talking about the Carson Jones who was lucky to get a draw against super lightweight Dean Byrne ?
