Crawford-Postol will be a great 12-round fight...filled with hard punching and brilliant boxing... INSTEAD of the May-Pac running... grabbing... holding... dancing... posing... and standing around... It’s tough sit through 2 fluffy hitters who haven't scored a KO in YEARS – both throwing weak sht that wouldn't knock the fluff off a dandelion... Last Oct. undefeated Crawford knocked out Dierry Jean, who who'd never been stopped, in what was supposed to be his audition for Pacquiao... and undefeated Postol knocked out Lucas Matthysse who'd never been stopped... He's coming on.
I was PRAYING that Pacquiao would be brave enough to fight Crawford… Canelo would be brave enough to fight Golovkin… Santa Cruz would be brave enough to fight Gary Russell… Khan would be brave enough to fight Kell Brook… Floyd would be brave enough to fight Keith Thurman instead of cherry picked Berto… Stevenson would be brave enough to fight Kovalev… and that a ranked Heavyweight such as Haye or Parker would be brave enough to fight Luis Ortiz who has to go begging for a fight... I don't know what Boxing can do to put on appropriate matchups.
The above fights would be nice… We can dream… But we DO have Crawford vs Postol which will be a great fight for the fans.

Y'all didn't know Canelo GGG was finalized? It's a done deal. You heard it first here. My fight is May 28th. Canelo/GGG fight is Sep 17th

Crawford vs Postol should definitely be a good fight. I don't think it'll sell all that well on PPV, but there's no reason to think it won't be a competitive match. I think Crawford wins a decision in this fight, but I haven't seen a whole lot of Postol. It'll be interesting and will determine the True Champion at 140 pounds.

Right... That does concern me that a lot of fans will miss this fight... Crawford and Postol are excellent fighters but they haven't been promoted or hyped up really well... The casual fan and the non-fan can't really get excited about watching them or and they may not be interested in plunking down PPV money for a fight that would ordinarily draw a massive audience on free TV.. Postol just won his first real World Title... The idea is to show them to everybody for free.. Promote those free shows outstandingly well.. Get everybody excited about watching them.. Then put them on PPV.. I've said before when I bought PPV 35 years ago, the next day the first 3 pages of the sports section were loaded with coverage of the fight... because everybody knew Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran etc.. Now days you but a PPV and you can't find a reference to the fight in the newspaper. If Crawford had the chance to destroy Pacquiao that would be different. Today big names can duck the toughest fighters so nobody knows how good the new guys are.gilgamesh wrote:Crawford vs Postol should definitely be a good fight. Crawford/Postol is a great matchup but I'm dismayed they're putting it on PPV. These days it takes a quality undercard for me to drop $70+ and block off a Saturday evening for a fight, and the first announced undercard bout is uninspiring to say the least.
