His last real fight was against Porter and that was years ago so thought maybe he quit the sport. I'm being fresh. Trying to draw attention to the fact that he's a champion in the best division in boxing and keeps fighting taxi drivers and cooks instead of anyone in the top 10.
He's pathetic. At least Khan backed up his mouth and took a tough fight. Brook just yaps and sits on his hands.

Hahaha.. You must really know your stuff.. Lol.. He's had 3 fights since porter.. If you can call them fights.. Ionut Dan ion stopped him in 4th round, frankie Gavin stopped him in 6th round, Kevin bizier stopped him in 2nd round.. Sounds impressive.. But it's not at all!
He's trying to be funny. My sides are splitting. Total helmet.

yeah, i'm not that funny. But England has a ton of nice world champions right now to be excited about so why people care so much about this prick Brook puzzles me. How can you be Word Champ at 147 and defend the belt three times and not fight at least 1 name brand quality prospect? Doesn't that deserve some insults? surely.

People care because he is a talented fighter and p4p one the best we have to offer. I am a fan but his record does frustrate me. His three defences have been poor but it's worth remembering that two of those were mandatories and one was a 'stay busy' fight as he was not long back after a hoffific stabbing which could've cost him his career. Hearn has to deliver a meaningful fight next or Kell has to seriously consider his options. I've a feeling it'll be Chavez but I'd like them to aim higher. At the end of the day it's one thing wanting these fights and another actually making them happen.

I was an instant Brook fan after that Porter upset. The way he systematically thwarted the crazy wild style that Porter comes at you with was remarkable. I'll go as far as to say, genius. He certainly got America's attention and the rest of the world, he was on the map. Yes, I know he got stabbed and that didn't help matters. But then Brook hit the media circuit and had a soundbite every other day about who he's fighting, who he wants to fight and who doesn't deserve a fight with him like he's lineal champion for years or something. With the dozen names he's called out, he opted for 3 no named uncompetitive fights that HBO didn't even care to televise. Mandatories like that only come into to play when a boxer sits idle for too long without a fight date. Brook could have easily sidestepped those two mandatories for a big name fight. So i stopped being a fan of Brook when I saw what he was about.
I think that it's hilarious how people are wasting time talking about Brook and Spence. Never happen. From what i've seen from Brook so far, i'm pretty positive that Brook would end up vacating the title instead of taking that kid on. Quite honestly, that might not be a bad call. Spence is a freight train.

Spence is a talent yeah. I've said a few times that if Brook is going to take him on he should do it sooner rather than later because I can only see Spence getting better and better. I agree with you about Brooks opposition. It's just not good enough. He was decent against Porter but a bit lazy. Porter is near impossible to look good against. It all comes down to Hearn now. He has to deliver something for Kell because he's in danger of stagnating. I'm a fan of his style but I find all the other nonsense frustrating.

I'm not sure if you reside in the USA or not but Brook really blew it here in the states. After that Porter fight, he got some serious juice here and he acquired a ton of fans like me who feel Porters style is garbage and has not place in boxing. Not that it's a big deal to British fans but having that crossover appeal is huge if USA runs with it. He could have his own reality show by now with those looks. Instead, he blew it. You don't get many shots to make yourself a household name.
I hope Brook ends up getting it. Heck, I hope all of these soft challenged boxers are starting to get it and hear the noise coming from those who point to the UFC way of matching the best against the best quickly, not waiting years. The sport could be amazing if it adopted just some of UFC's model. But Brook is not helping the sport right now.

I'm Scottish bud. I have watched Brook from well before he won a British title so I admit I do have a soft spot for him. Talented guy. He needs a big name next or at least someone half way decent. His record is poor considering he's been a pro over ten years. I agree with you about the UFC. Won't ever happen though.
I think it's pretty much universally agreed by Americans and Brits alike, that Brook has talent but nobody is sure how much because he doesn't dare fight anyone.
If he doesn't go for a genuinely top opponent next then both Americans and Brits will have had enough of him. Needs to be Spence, Thurman, Porter re-match, Mayweather, Pacquaio, Cotto, Bradley, Garcia, or Maidana (if he's still alive).
Kell Brook would win right now... It's a super tough fight. If Thurman can get past Porter, because Porter is the absolute worst style for Thurman.. Thurman like to box and Porter is on you and won't let you box.. Keith is a hard puncher and he could KO Porter - and he could get KO'd... But I'm telling you I'm surprised Thurman took this fight because he cannot tie guys up like Kell Brook can. So any speculation about Thurman-Brook has to be post Thurman-Porter. I think a lot of referees would have DQ'd Adrien Broner for his constant grabbing, wrestling, and holding of Porter. Weeks is one of the most lenient referees in Boxing and he took a point after issuing 63 warnings. Porter was suffering just a little late, because they made him make 144. Broner had everything his way and he still lost 11 rounds. At 147 Porter is more formidable because he'll be 165 in the ring. It's going to be brutal.
think keith thrurman would win, has big power to keep brook away from walking him down good also a good boxer to. i dont think thurman would trade with brook much think the porter fight will be similar ,think he will counter
Prior to Thurman-Collazo I would have taken Thurman to win but I am not so sure now. An elite talent should not get seriously hurt against Collazo the way Thurman was. If Collazo could hurt Thurman there is no reason that Brook can't do far worse damage.
