Amir announcement...

Post by magwitch »

Hope noone minds....can’t be bothered making this a big deal on the main forum....

Khan has just announced a big announcement - next week - in Pakistan!

What the hell can that be? Surely no fights on horizon so must be retirement.......why Pakistan tho? He’s already married to his girl.....or is it his GF? Perhaps this is personal rather than business related.....

What’s Stevenson doing these days? Beating ’em up stil?

As I understand it there’s half a stone between him and Kovalev.......similar to the difference between Canelo and Golovkin......which must put Stevenson and Golovkin at about the same weight does it? Unless they’re Cruiser and Middle.....
In any event Khan was giving away more like a stone........I like him but that was a fcking stupid fight to to made and should never have been allowed. I think Boxing showed it’s shady side last Sat, for want of a better word.

Promoting a show in Pakistan, there's plans to grow boxing in that part of the world. Was some world title fights in Sri Lanka last year, Muhammad Waseem turned pro not too far back, talk of an Indian Boxing Council too...

Good idea if that is the plan.

Khan would get a huge following being of Pakistani heritage.

Khan's about to announce that he's in a strong position to be Mayweather's 50th opponent or Pacquiao's farewell opponent, stating that his speed can trouble both guys and they know it

He is setting up pro boxing over there, including a pro boxing federation, they have some good amateurs and Khan will headline there soon.

You'd fight what who for 8 what you brave man you know you won't be fighting anyone behind that keyboard......Anyway my point is Khan fought a much bigger man then himself with no restriction's on what weight or any of that sh.t that De La Hoya started years ago that's all,And that my respect for Khan has tripled since his brave attempt to beat Mr WBC Canel-Weight Champion. :oo

journeymen all over the world fight much bigger and fitter and better fighters week in week out for 500 quid or less. thats in a boxers make-up. most welters in the world would give their eye teeth to fight canelo for life changing money. thats the way fighters are.

Will it really happen though? Are Pakistan still not having to play their international cricket games abroad due to safety concerns following the attack on the Sri Lankan team?

I know some people who work at my place just had a trip to Pakistan for business and it was a nightmare getting them insured and they weren't "quite" as famous as Amir Khan
