Golovkin v Alvarez: Who are you picking?

Post by IRLangmaid25 »

It's the fight we want to happen to see who is the man in the Middleweight division. Assuming its gets made who are you picking and why?

Golovkin, because he's better in every way.

Better jab, better right hand, better left hook, better body attack, more developed and technically superior boxing skill, better defense

There's only one thing that worries me, and would give Canelo a chance to win. GGG has come dangerously close to hitting a downed a opponent in both of his last two fights, and if the fighter would've pulled theatrics and made a fuss out of it he could've wound up with a DQ loss. Abel Sanchez and Co. need to make sure to break that habit of GGG, because that could easily get him DQ'd. That's about the only thing I see that would give Canelo any kinda chance at victory.

Truly the Fight of the Century in my opinion. . . In my lifetume I have seen hundreds of fights but in this one I truly don't have an educated idea but I lean toward Golovkin.

I would pick GGG by stoppage between rounds 8-12, but, like I have said before, if Canelo ends the fight on his feet, he wins a controversial decision. Don't be shocked if this happens.

I believe that some member's of team Canelo and even Canelo himself have a fear of GGG that's more then a respectful fear and Canelo in his private moment's knows that this is his Mt Everest[GGG] and that this fight even more so then the Mayweather and any other fight that he's been in will go a long way in defining Canelo career and probably for the first time in his life he knows if he isn't at the PEAK of his game fight night that he could really get hurt................. The Greatest Ali once said that a fight is some-time's won before you even step in the ring the way this fight has dragged on because of this weight bullsh.t and who gets what percentage of the purse reminds me of what Ali said I still think it will be a classic Canelo will fight like the wounded Tiger for a while and it will be no place for the faint hearted by round 9 GGG will have his measure and lower the boom to stop Canelo in his track's with a huge right hand followed by a devastating left hook for good measure the ref won't even bother to count. :yay:

People had the same qualms about Golovkin-Lemieux because De La Hoya was involved... Golovkin boxed the piss out of Lemieux so it would have been a shutout... GGG's a much better boxer than Lara so it's not a problem.
