FFS. Povetkin's physique has changed dramatically over the past 18 months so no surprise but this was all set to be a cracking fight.

Could the fight still go ahead while the B sample is tested?

Be interesting on Wilder stance on it. He has reason not to fight him but on the other hand its most of been a small fortune to get wilder over here. so Wilder probably missing out on a smal fortune

just looked it cost the russians 7 million to host the fight

Did the same people who spiked Big Daddy Brown try the same trick and accidentally drug the wrong fighter?

Seriously though. This is shit, seriously shit!
The one good opponent Wilder has taken on and it falls on it's ass. How long before Wilder faces a live threat now. What does the WBC do about his mandatory if it doesn't go ahead?

2 Bermane Stiverne
3. Kubrat Pulev
4. Johann Duhaupas
5. Carlos Takam
6. Joseph Parker
7. Andy Ruiz
8. David Haye
9. Bryant Jennings
10. Malik Scott
11. Artur Szpilka
12. Eric Molina
13. Dereck Chisora
14. Ruslan Chagaev
15. Dominic Breazeale

Who's betting on the Stiverne rematch

not sure how long the drug stays in your body, but guessing they will say the fight was before January and the fight will still go ahead.

Why are you slagging off Wilder?

He wasn't the one who failed the test.

Don't read too much into it Hoss. I always slag off Wilder.

But for the purposes of fairness, I do now think Povetkin is a lowlife cheating scumbag

And Wilders next 2 opponents will be unforgiveably poo!

Anyway, I wasn't so much slagging Deontay off as expressing my disappointment at the whole situation
And making an observation about the replacement opponent and how comparably weak he will likely be. Can't blame Wilder for that (this time!)

Wilder's recent opposition has been okay.

There's hardly anyone that he can fight that people will not say were poopy.

I think the Russians are saying or are going to say that he hasn't taken the drug since January, when it was banned, but it could still remain in his blood......

If they get away with that, then question is then are they paying wilder enough ?

From what i've seen from articles, the manufacturers have said it could take several months for the drug to be completely out of the system. However, up to now, the latest somebody has popped having taken the drug prior to the Jan 1st ban has been early march. Povetkin's failed test was supposedly from the end of April. It seems like a stretch as of now.
