Both look solid Euro level fighters. Would be an even fight, but the press conferences and build up would be the most entertaining part.

Furthest Whyte has been is 7 against Joshua, so depends what engine he has in 2nd half of the fight.

Chisora points for me. Wouldn't gamble on it though
Whyte will probably win fairly easy against Haye and actually has a fair chance against Fury.

Well, Parker fought similar guys and look at where he's standing atm
In a fight against Takam, a big step up for him? Not Pulev.
I don't think Pulev is much better than Takam.

Don't worry about Parker he's undefeated these guys need to get back on the winning track and that's what it's about.

I'm going with Chisora but like someone had mentioned earlier he has been sleepwalking in his last few fights. Hope hes not on a down slant at this stage of his career.

Haven't seen enough of Whyte other than the Joshua fight.

I love this fight. Plus The build up should be funny.

The problem is with British boxing this will certainly be on the undercard of an AJ PPV

Would be a great fight.

I really like Dillian Whyte as a personality and he showed great heart against Joshua and to an extent exposed him a little. With a little more patience he should have finished or at least scored a knockdown against AJ in the second round.

But having said all that he is a really poor boxer technically. He looked appalling vs a totally shot Brian Minto, genuinely dreadful. He looks like what he is an MMA fighter who has switched disciplines. He has a strange upright stance, horrible footwork and strange punch technique. His power and heart and that will carry him through against domestic level opponents and faded journeymen like Minto. But unless he can turn every fight into a war and end it quickly he'll be outboxed and out conditioned.

A motivated Chisora on points or by late stoppage is my opinion.

I would see Whyte stopping David Price though pretty quickly.

I thought Gerber looked much better, finished it earlier too, though it was half a year later. That is Gerber that lost to Chisora. I think Whyte may have bee a bit off that day, but really what else do we have to judge him on? Joshua's few best fights were against domestic level guys, so you can't really tell much from that, and the rest of his opponents have been pretty poor. I think they should both be trying to fight around the level Chisora was before Fury II. With Whyte maybe having a warm up and something intermediate first. They can fight later, get a string of half decent wins together, if they fight now a loss would be much more damaging for either.

I don't have the time or interest to watch a full fight of Del's anymore, so I typed "Chisora Pulev Highlights" into YouTube the other day, and if those were Derek's "Highlight's" then he is seriously shot worn and unmotivated these days ! You have to give Derek the credit in that he all ways came to fight, fought the biggest names in the sport (though lost all of them) but he was all ways a dangerous opponent ! Though in my mind he clearly lost 90% of his motivation after the 2nd Fury fight and hasn't looked the same since. A Derek Chisora of 5 years ago would take Dillian Whyte out pretty quick in my estimation, but the guy who showed up against Pulev and hardly threw a punch would get gassed pretty quickly against a younger, fitter, and more motivated Whyte.

Though to liken him to Danny Williams is a bit of an insult I reckon ! Derek is miles out of Danny's league (which says a lot about the state of boxing in Danny's day, and quite simply a lot about Danny !) Derek is a much tougher opponent than Williams has ever been, and has tons more heart !

Pretty much all of his fights? He gets hit continually, somehow he simply hits back harder.

I don't know. Chisora's best win doesn't match Danny's. I agree Dereck that I think Dereck is tougher than Danny, but I think that would've been a pretty even matchup with both at their peaks. Dereck is a mediocre fighter. Not Top 20.

I'd like to see Chisora vs Arreola just for the hell of it. They're equal talents to me, but I'd like to see who wins out. I figure Chisora would because he'd be in better shape in all likelihood.

Can you think of 20 heavyweights that should be ranked above Chisora?

Thing is, Danny also lost fights I don't think Chisora would. Other than his "loss" against Helenius, which he deserved to win, and an early loss to Tyson Fury, he's only ever lost to very high ranked fighters.

If this is true, then Arreola might as well give up. :o

I thought that was the general level of thinking.

Arreola would have fared even worse against Pulev. I'd back Del to beat him now.

He should. He's lucked out quite a bit recently with some decisions that easily could've went against him. I thought he lost to Travis Kauffman.

I can't think of another heavyweight who'd have taken Joshua's shots as well as Whyte did, so I hope he gets fit now and shows us what he can do. He should be ranked in the top 15 for me.
