Shimmell is a nice guy who I followed a bit in the amateurs, but yes I agree, Jordan gets stopped.

Once Shimmell lost to Thomas, I noticed his dad was out of here. Ran off the board, not to bother with questions, give his view of the fight, etc. I even see the posts are deleted, or at least not present anymore in his post history. That alone makes me not want to root for Shimmell, which I was before, because supporting a Boxrec poster always seems like the right thing to do.

Since beating Shimmell, Isiah Thomas has looked pretty bad in recent competition step ups. I'm looking for Gassiev to have the ref step in mid way and wave this fight off, where Dennis Sr. doesn't post again for a bit of time.....

Looks to me as if Jordan is just being used as fodder now.

Dennis the dad just does not understand about boxing, though I still hope I am wrong and it all come's good for Jordan and Dennis gets the last laughm I had a few run ins with him, just a case of a proud dad really.

Whatever he may have learned against Thomas will not work against Gassiev.

Anyone know whats on the televised undercard?

I see there are 2 Heavyweight fights and 1 super featherweight fight.

Unfortunately, experience tells me they televise the super featherweight fight.

I think Shimmell has the potential to win this. He has good defense, which he will need in this one.

Gassiev knocked Shimmell out cold with a left hook in round 1. Shimmell is getting oxygen now and hopefully will be fine.

Gassiev is now IBF mandatory for Lebedev vs Ramirez winner. Not sure if he is ready for Lebedev.

Something tells me that this is the last time we see a Shimmell posting here.

That was a KO of the Year contender....brutal.
