I didn't sit and score it but it was a close fight. I just shaded the big Belgian fella with the KDs seeing him take a tight decision. Few rounds were tight and difficult to score.

How was the Arena btw? It looked pretty impressive on the TV. Was there a good atmosphere?

Very good arena not a bad seat in the house. Was a good atmosphere for the Selby fight which was incredible to hear as we really need to get behind him and Kennedy's fans are always loud even though most of the arena had left probably to get last trains home or even just to go to town earlier.

I started watching from round 4. It was a very good fight. I thought Kennedy outboxed the big man from rds 6-10

Agreed, he's lucky big Joe's stamina is awful, otherwise he would never have survived that first knockdown, he was well out of it.

I was half expecting a draw. Even the rounds Kennedy did win weren't big rounds, it's just Joe spend a lot of time doing very little.

I don't understand why Joe didn't use the jab more, it was really a serious jab, ramrod straight, quick and hard (ooer) - he used the double jab a few times and snapped Kennedy's head right back. He could have won more rounds just by delivering the jab more.

I think the Belgians fitness was what let him down. Hence he had to take long breaks and, like James said above, neglected the jab for ages.

Thing is, the jab would have allowed him to conserve energy, and to set up the straight right and land it more often.

He just kept looking for that huge right over and over again, and as Kennedy knew it was coming, he was able to block it more often than not.

I was there at the venue and had Kennedy nicking it.
Rewatched today and still have him nicking it.
Venue is great for boxing but all the bars shut at 9!!!!
