hughie isn't a big puncher and isn't a strong physical fighter he doesn't of seemed to of got his man strength yet i would swerve whyte as well i could see dillion pushing him around with ease ,it's a fight hughie could win but if dillion can hurt AJ i'm sure he could hurt hughie and maybe put him to sleep ,chisora would be a better fight for hughie as he dosen't have much of a punch

If they say hes only at 30% and needs 5-7 months to recover I dont see why there going to carry on fighting journeymen and not just have a six month break. Surely its worse to risk being beat by a nothing fighter going into any heavyweight fight at 30% is dangerous

He's no worse. Did you not see Hughie's last fight? Hughie looked awful. Dillian looked as good as both of them.

I thought Hughie looked pretty damn impressive for a 21 year old, really good skills.

White has beaten .................... who exactly? He certainly hasn't got a draw with Areola on his resume which is what Kassi has. That is the best "form" on offer or perhaps going the distance with Bermane Stiverne.

I'd say Kassi's overall form is a good level or two above Dillian White's.

He's too ill to fight Whyte...but not quite ill enough to not fight on the Fury/Wlad undercard

It's a ridiculous way to manage a fighter. If he's unwell or unable to perform then he should be taking a break.

Knocking absolute no-hopers about is pointless - an unnecessary risk that teaches him less than some half decent sparring would.

If Hughie's health is the reason the fight isn't happening then fair enough, but it does my head in to see people not taking fights because they're "good friends" with someone. Weren't Crolla and Murray good friends? Still gave us a brilliant fight. Doesn't need to be any hard feelings to produce a good fight.

Yes very close friends a lot more than Whyte and Fury that's for sure.

yes I agree....although I believe Tyson ducked Price for the British title at the time as he was too big a threat. Maloney offered him stupid money too.....

They mention he needs extensive treatment to sort his acne and also mention that his body is reacting like someone who has overtrained despite not necessarily overtraining. They also talk about him needing to grow a little stronger as he's only 21, and briefly talk about hughie fighting against his own body. If you don't think your man is ready then he probably isn't. There is nothing wrong with not matching Hughie with Dillian at this stage. Hughie is a young man and seemingly going through a tough spot. He nor Peter should be getting any stick for passing this up.

I read the bit about Peter talking of Hughies condition. He also said they are very friendly with Dillian and his team so it's not a fight they'd relish anyway. I believe him in what he says but it does sound as if Hughie could benefit from a rest up and coming back nice and fresh when he's recovered. Peter says he is on tablets that enable him to keep training and boxing but I'm not sure if that's a good thing. He obviously knows his son better than anyone else so I suppose you've no choice but to trust his judgement so we'll see how it unfolds.
