POVETKIN DID NOT FAIL HIS DRUG TEST

Post by Kalan »

Povetkin had concentrations of Meldonium that well below the concentrations allowed for Meldonium, consistent for an athlete who stopped taking Meldonium before it went on the banned list. Povetkin took the drug last year when it was perfectly legal. When he got word it was going on the banned list he stopped taking it. This is nothing new. When a new substance is added to the banned list there are always allowable traces of the drug in athletes' blood for some time. This is all about the WBC, VADA, and the whole corrupt Boxing apparatus sensationalizing a non-violation.

Promoter Ryabinskiy “Povetkin didn’t fail a doping test. He has 15 times lower meldonium concentration than the limit established by WADA. Now we need to pass additional tests, then we will set a new date of the fight and do it." The World Boxing Council will be the one that will decide whether the Povetkin vs. Wilder fight will be allowed to be rescheduled or not. Their last official word is the Wilder-Povetkin fight is postponed until further notice until they complete their investigation. If the WBC backs Ryabinskiy in what he says the levels being too low for it to be considered a positive test for meldonium, then we should see the WBC rescheduling the fight in the near future. Ryabinskiy is prepared to take legal action if he must to get Povetkin his WBC mandated title shot against the 30-year-old Wilder.

“If we don’t come to an agreement about the fight with Wilder’s team, we are ready to meet them in court,” said Ryabinskiy. “The fight is not cancelled but postponed, we are discussing a new date. There are no legal barriers for the fight. The official Wilder-Povetkin fight status is ‘postponed.’ All claims against Povetkin are legally unsound.”

Just why this happened is a mystery. The postponement should not have happened. If a test falls within legal parameters the fight goes forward. I would sue for defamation at this point because there was no legal reason for the fight postponement and some people are recklessly spreading lies.

They need to find an explanation on how negative tests became positive. Maybe below a certain concentration, tests are not very accurate ?

I believe the particular substance he tested positive for wouldn't be in the body AT ALL unless you were taking Meldonium. Plus he had tested negative prior to that so that in April which can only mean he had taken it recently.

I hope everything gets sorted out and the fight still takes place myself. I badly wanted to see this fight.

There is no data on how long it takes for meldonium to clear from a persons system, so how can you say for sure he cheated when it was ok to take it up until 2016, sharipova has the same issue in the tennis

DUMMY, ONE IS ALLOWED TO TEST POSITIVE FOR MELDONIUM AS LONG AS IT IS UNDER 1 MICROGRAM PER MILILITER.

This is not the case. He passed 3 tests, took the same test afterwards and failed it. This is all bullshit spin doctoring, it's weak. Sorry Alexander had to cheat and ruin everything.

Don't listen to runner(asdfjkl) whatever his name is. He is not qualified and does not work for WADA.

The whole world was expecting this fight for a long time. Both fighters trained long and hard for this fight. There was a lot of money riding on this fight. So for this fight not to happen, it was going to take something enormous to stop it cos far too much was at stake here.

WADA would have had to have big balls to say that Povetkin tested positive for an illegal substance.

Povetkin just shouldn't have taken it. You ask Povetkin now and he'd say "I wish I never took it, the money, my knockout of Wilder..all gone. I wish I never took it" he would say something or be thinking something like that surely. He doesn't touch it then it's weigh in and fight is what's next.

There IS a fight moorn... It was postponed because of corruption in Boxing. They want to destroy Russia as a growing venue for fights. This is how they intend to do it but it won't work. This will end up in court and it's going to mean an ugly mess for the bastards who pushed the postponement if it ends up being a cancellation. This is not going to be allowed by the Russians who mean business.

You can't even spell moron lol. Such a moron. So now it's Russia is it? Oh good it's always something else. How about Povetkin, does he have anything to do with this?

Are you still researching? Finding it hard to answer gils questions? If you know boxing you should've answered them ages ago in detail as you like to do with your big paragraphs phoney. You think you know everything about boxing and no one really cares lol. Heres your medal lol.

That's completely stupid. Anything not on the banned list you're allowed to take. When you hear it's going on the banned list you stop taking it. if aspirin goes on the banned list you stop taking it and find another headache remedy. There might be levels of it in your blood tests that are 1% of the legal concentrations and that's fine. It doesn't mean you didn't stop taking it a year ago and long before it was banned.

Anytime a doctor prescribes a new medication you have to check it against the banned list. That's your duty. It may contain a steroid or whatever. But you have to continually check it because they keep adding new substances and the list is very long.

And BTW, FO stupid.

Look here stupid idiot that everybody here hates, he never needed to take it in the first place. He wasn't sick or he didn't have a medical condition where he needed to have it. He is healthy! Whether it's a banned substance or not he didn't need to take it you idiot.

You go ask him now if it was worth it lol.

Did everyone know nicotine and caffeine are on the Watch List this year...that everyone allowed to use performance enhancing asthma drugs...that testing over the limit for Clenbutorol if you're Mexican can go without punishment..

Not saying Povetkin is innocent, but WADA really are a bunch of inconsistent baboons

Ahh, it all makes sense now. I figured it had nothing to do with Povetkin testing positive for PEDS.

Look.

Every article I've seen either mentions it or starts off with that. 3 passed tests, then a failed one.

VADA should test B samples of those negative tests. The concentration in the positive test is so low that it could have been missed in the negative ones.

..take it easy, dude...boxers cheat...and sometimes they get caught, simple as that...remember that Australien travelling to Grozny or I believe it was Jones im Moscow, just to name a few, all screaming bloody murder...this time it happened to Povetkin..just wait till they open "B" sample..if it's clean, he's off the hook...

No need to be an expert here. You just need to have brain to understand that ANY test results are only accurate to a certain level. The question is what a reliable detectable level is for meldonium.
