MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
Povetkin did no test positive for Meldonium because the concentrations in his blood were approximately 7% of the concentrations allowed by WADA. In other words Povetkin would need to have more than 15 X as much Meldonium in his blood to be positive for the concentrations allowed, because he stopped taking Medonium when he was informed it was going to be added to the banned list. This is the same procedure as when any new substance is added to the banned list. If someone is taking a medication that contains an ingredient that will be added to the list they need time to clear it from their blood. However, they cannot have a concentration higher than an athlete who hasn't used the substance since it was banned. The Povetkin-Wilder fight is not off but it is postponed - because of the screwed up misrepresentation of the negative test results by the WBC and VADA... VADA is mixed up with ex-con Victor Conte. The con artist who was imprisoned for steroid and PED pushing and distribution.
Why is this being done???? What is the motivation behind the false charges, stories, and attempts to kill this competitive fight for the fans????
We fans are often deprived of MANY competitive matchups. This isn't the first. We may be deprived of Wilder-Povetkin for no reason other than efforts underway to stop Russian promoters from bidding on fights. This hurts Boxing and boxers. Without competitive bidding the purses are a lot lower. Now that the UK, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine are staging major fights there is more competition in Boxing worldwide, and more money for the athletes. However, many Boxing promoters have washed their hands of the business because of underhanded and anti-competitive actions of rivals. As in the drug trade, some operators in Boxing don't want rivals. They will stoop to whatever means to get rid of them.

Calm down. There is nothing new. Boxing is extremely corrupt including ABC orgs and judges. I can't exclude possibility of corruption in VADA/WADA/USADA.
Re: MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
Corruption in boxing is not a news flash.. . . .There is corruption in congress, in the Vatican and in banking. . . .Your conspiracy theory is a bit over the top though. . . . But remember it's still always about money and about control.

This makes no sense. Why would anyone rig the testing process to get the fight canceled? Corruption only makes sense if someone benefits financially.
Re: MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
WHAT conspiracy theory???? ... Povetkin passed all his tests and the fight is postponed. Efforts are being made to KILL it. It's like a man standing over dead body with a smoking gun and saying. "Don't assume I had anything to do with this."actjac wrote:Corruption in boxing is not a news flash.. . . .There is corruption in congress, in the Vatican and in banking. . . .Your conspiracy theory is a bit over the top though. . . . Just about everything around Deontay Wilder is corrupt, it's obvious for many many years now in a row, especially when it comes to Povetkin and now matter how obvious it is, there are allways idiots out there that claim it to be the other way around.

Everything around Haymon is corrupt, and Wilder is just one of illustrations of that.asdfjkl wrote:Just about everything around Deontay Wilder is corrupt, it's obvious for many many years now in a row, especially when it comes to Povetkin and now matter how obvious it is, there are allways idiots out there that claim it to be the other way around.

Sure many people will benefit from that financially.

Very true! Wilder and Joshua are 2 protected paper champs that will get matched together soon. Fury was abusively stripped of his IBF title and Povetkin was screwed by the WBC, since the quantity of meldonium found in his system was in the acceptable limits of WADA's standards.

Wilder misses out on a $5m payday for a fight where he was the slight betting favorite. Sorry, this makes very little sense.davie wrote:Wilder gets to stay world champion.jujigatame wrote:This makes no sense. Why would anyone rig the testing process to get the fight canceled? Re: MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
Use your brain. They benefit MASSIVELY if they can disrupt and kill a Russian Boxing Promotion and drive a rival promoter out of the business. Russia has now captured several major Boxing matches and Haymon and the WBC are not happy about that. They will have to bid bigger to get major fights which knocks down their profit margin. They view this as WAR and will use every ruthless tool at their disposal to knock these guys out.jujigatame wrote:This makes no sense. Re: MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
1. Wilder and Joshua have definitely been protected. That is why the postponement of this fight is such a bummer. Would have been nice to see Wilder with a top heavyweight.apollo creed wrote:Very true! Wilder and Joshua are 2 protected paper champs that will get matched together soon. Fury was abusively stripped of his IBF title and Povetkin was screwed by the WBC, since the quantity of meldonium found in his system was in the acceptable limits of WADA's standards.
2. The IBF was simply enforcing its rules. It seems they could have worked a little more with Fury, but in hindsight the Fury-Klit #2 fight took so long to put together that the IBF probably did the right thing as the belt would have been without a mandatory challenge for over 1.5 yrs. The biggest issue with the IBF is their ridiculous heavyweight rankings that allowed Martin to fight for the title. I love that the IBF actually enforces their rules and enforces mandatories. They seem to be the best of the 4 about doing this.
3. I dont' think the WBC has screwed anyone over. Last I heard they were postponing the fight while investigating. Seems like the prudent thing to do. All of the other rheotoric is coming from the Wilder and Povetkin camps, not the WBC
4. I have heard a lot about the quanity of drug found in Povetkins system, but the only source I have seen for that is Povetkins promoter. I am content to let things play out until we get some more concrete facts/information
Re: MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
..this is a very good point, we basically make our opinions based on the info provided by just one promoter who protects the interests of his boxer...Serragon wrote: 4. Re: MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
Why would the WBC postpone the fight??? There's NO reason on EARTH to postpone it. Povetkin tested WELL within concentrations allowed for Meldonium so the whole thing is a Tempest in a Teapot. Povetkin would have to have more than 15 X as much Meldonium in his blood to be in violation of WADA drug policy... The ONLY reason to disrupt and postpone this fight is to KILL it and drive out a rival promoter in Russia so he DOESN'T outbid American promoters in future big fights that would be highly profitable for American promoters. This is so transparent it stinks.Serragon wrote:I dont' think the WBC has screwed anyone over. Last I heard they were postponing the fight while investigating. Seems like the prudent thing to do. Re: MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
The WEREN'T enforcing their rules. Their rules call for a voluntary defense following capturing a title. Neither Glazkov or Martin were top contender by ANY STRETCH of the imagination. So justice WASN'T being served by championing a long standing top contender into a title shot. Fury paid a sanctioning fee for that belt and they wanted MORE quick fees as fast as possible... They also wanted to get Martin a free title by getting him a weak opponent in Glazkov... They KNEW Fury wasn't going to accept the Glazkov "mandatory" ... They're not unhappy with Joshua crushing Martin for the belt because he'll defend it often and pay lots of fees.. Breazeale is another putz.. So while Fury will now spend months preparing for what would have been his FIRST defense of the IBF belt they have already racked up TWO FEES from the Glazkov-Martin fight and the Joshua-Martin fight... That was the whole idea behind stripping Fury ... another scam on the public and as much money in their pockets as possible.Serragon wrote:The IBF was simply enforcing its rules

There are a lot of boxing promoters in Russia besides Stashkov and his world of boxing .Kalan wrote:Use your brain. PBC Russian Boxers like Gassiev and Shafikov never had any doping problems.
Re: MASSIVE CORRUPTION IN BOXING
Povetkin was suspicious long before he tested positive for a banned substance. He got caught. Everything said since the moment he actually got caught doing what many have suspected, has been damage control. It obviously stings and these butt hurt dumpster pudenda are relentlessly going to whine about it, time will tell if Povetkin is somehow lol "innocent". But don't expect that fairytale to become reality, it likely isn't.

He would make money once and would be exposed disallowing him to get big purses in the future. He will fight a couple bums and then Joshua making at least double of what he would make against Povetkin.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Wilder was about to make more money than he has ever seen.
