Tyson Fury dropped 3 times in sparring by a light-heavyweight

Post by Controversial »

What do you reckon to this, more mind games or the truth? Fury reckons a young Belgian light-heavyweight dropped him 3 times, gave him a black eye and cut him whilst training for his upcoming Klitschko fight.

More than likely mind games, his eye is marked up though.

Anybody have any ideas about the identity of this mystery Belgian?

Makes a refreshing change from the usual bollocks fighters say about sparring! can you imagine

Belgian guy: Just beat up Tyson Fury in sparring
Fury: yes, it's absolutely true! I got destroyed!

Wouldn't surprise me if he's telling the truth. I was talking to his cousin a couple of weeks back and Tyson had told him that he 'couldn't be arsed' to train for the fight. He's lacking motivation at the minute, but hopefully he can find it soon.

Yeah I tend to think its genuine, no big deal as it happens in sparring all the time.

No real reason for him to make it up. Lots of great champs were far frpm great in the gym at times,

Have to take whatever Tyson says with a pinch of salt. He's probably at the wind up.

I know Fury often trains in Belgium and the Netherlands regularly with kickboxers, which is logic, since kickboxers are way more skilled on avarage as most boxers.

Rico Verhoeven (260 pounder, current heavyweight world champion in kickboxing) regularly boxed with him, Rico expected Fury to win against Klitschko actually even before their first fight. I know that the first time they met was in Belgium.

Purely based on the looks I'm most impressed by Ryad Merhy, this guy is one of the very rare boxers that I do know, while he isn't a heavyweight, I know this because he's on the same card as Herve Hubeaux, a sort of unbeaten heavyweight from Belgium (he won against the guy that once won against him, so unbeaten like Lennox Lewis).

I always take what he says with a pinch of salt, but after seeing his weight at the press conference conference he def needs a great training camp.

Another story has just surfaced about Tyson and Peter Fury possibly splitting.

Gifted to the media by Tyson of course.

Didn't think it needed a new thread, definitely thinking it's all a ploy now.

This is clearly all mind games. I bet he's having a great camp. He's certainly lost a lot of weight since the presser.

The thing is, whether it's mind games or not Klitschko won't have any more clue than we do and regardless of its truth it will totally mess with his head whether it is intended to or not!

If I was Klitschko's team I would tell him to avoid EVERYTHING Fury says as its a complex maze of thoughts the man himself doesn't have a clue how it will end.

Wlad is so ordered and structured such an opponent as Fury with his tools, youth and mindset is just a total and utter headfuck for him. I'm still surprised he took the rematch!
