I think that Canelo's huge block like head keeps him in the fight, but ultimately he will get ground down by GGG's weight of shot, and superior footwork.

Movers will always trouble GGG and Canelo difference is Canelo has taken those chances against top boxers like Lara, Floyd and trout and has mostly come out on top.
GGG wants everything handed to him thats not how this business works he can waste his prime yrs away while Canelo runs boxing.
Lara beat canelo in many opinions including my own.. Floyd schooled canelo full stop. But that's besides my point.. GGG hits harder than canelo, and has a better boxing brain.. I.e he picks, places, and executes his punches far more accurately than canelo.. Canelo's shot's against the best fighters are too wild and aggressive.. Canelo gets picked apart by GGG.. And broken down gradually until a probable late stoppage.. Canelo is tough and game, but unfortunately not tough enough.. I'm not saying he won't cause GGG huge problems because he will.. But the end result will be GGG win.. Love to see the prices that the bookies put up.. I think the margins will be awesome for the gambling man..
The jab will come out in full fore again. GGG has one of the best in the business, Canelo simply doesn't. He gets worn down and stopped 9-12.

Funny that Canelo is bragging about his resume, but in fact he lost to the only elite fighters he fought, Floyd and Lara.
I look forward to this fight happening. I think even at 155 GGG eats him up, provided he does the weight properly. I think Canelo might actually be the bigger man, judging by his in ring weights.
However, he's not the better man, overall I'd say GGG trumps him in every department.
I think it will be a good fight however long it lasts, as they both like to come forward. GGG will probably draw Canelo on, whacking him with hard shots from the outside, then when he's got his timing and range, come looking for Canelo. Canelo is I think genuinely tough, so it will be a war of attrition, but it's not one I see how he can win.
there where several folks taking about how khan was gonna school Canelo.
NOBODY was talking about it except plants who were trying to make it look like a legitimate matchup instead of an OUTRAGEOUS CHERRY PICK!!! Everybody knew Canelo was going to knock Khan out and he could have done a Tyson-Spinks job on him if he wanted... But he tried to make it look legitimate and boxed nice for 5 rounds and was leading on the scorecards. Then he smashed the chinny, skinny, feather hitting Welterweight unconscious with the first hard punch he threw. It was a NO DRAMA fight.
When he faces Gennady Golovkin, Canelo will be on the wrong end of one of those smashing hits.. It's going to be pure devastation and they'll bring in a stretcher to carry Canelo out. He might not wake up for a year.

It could be a fearful, prolonged beating on account of that toughness. Canelo will know that. If he had a suspect chin like Khan he would have more reason to take the fight, but the risk he is facing is permanent damage.

Hmm you ggg jizzboys must live in you're own world cuz last i checked Canelo beat Lara by decision.
Seriously you guys are just on another level as far as nuthuggery goes p4p you guys are easily the most delusional jizz-gulping fanboys ive ever seen on any boxing board.
Kidbazooka, You can also check and see that Floyd only beat Canelo by MD as 1 judge had it a draw. Yet one of these fanboys said that Floyd schooled him. When will these idiots learn you don't need to watch the fights when you can look up the scorecards. That's the beauty of Boxrec.

Im a Lara fan anyone can go back and see i was rooting for him and if i recall correctly thought Lara edged when first watching the fight.
Bottom line that fight was very close and could have gone either way but it's hilarious how the ggg cheer squad acts as if lara did "in fact " beat Canelo.
Also atleast 23 yr old Canelo had the balls to face Lara who at freakin 35 yrs old has faced nothing but bums.
Its unfuucking believeable how overrated that guy is around here.

I agree too that it was a close fight which proved Canelo could be competitive with Lara whatever the scorecards read. But how is someone else acting like Lara won so outrageous to you if you agree it could have easily happened? As you say it 'could have gone either way'.
If GGG has only faced bums and by extension that probably list probably includes Sturm & Martinez. Can you name any MWs who aren't bums? And if MW is full of bums how come Canelo doesn't fight one instead of taking on Welterweights?
Like Counter-puncher I must have missed Canelo facing GGG, who won?

To recap, it's hilarious to you when people have the same impression of Lara-Canelo that you had, and you credit Canelo with having fought GGG sometime in 2014. So, how did that fight go?

No my problem is the ggg jizz-gulpers that are going around saying its a "fact " that Lara beat Canelo.
For a guy whose resume is filled with no-hopers and nothing but no-hopers, there sure is a lot of adulation and awe over a goofy faux middleweight champ.
In Mexico, Canelo is already revered as one of the country's ATG. Go into a cantina and his one-punch destruction of Khan-job plays 24/7 on a televised loop.
In contrast, I have a hunch that within a couple years, few will give much thought to Gigi.
He'll be stretched out in that tarnished scrap heap that other sacred, overrated "monsters' like Matthysse now occupy.

Thank you.
At least there still are some posters here that haven't fallen for the hbo ggg hype.

GGG has 6 or 7 title defenses against Top 10 ranked fighters. These guys were no hopers because they were facing Golovkin, if they would've been facing any other Middleweight (including Canelo) they'd have been a threat.
Canelo isn't even close to being a Mexican ATG yet. There are dozens upon dozens of Legendary fighters from Mexico, and he has a way to go before he rises to their level. GGG is gonna demolish Canelo Senor. I have absolutely no doubt about it. The only way Canelo keeps from getting destroyed is to duck GGG forever.
