Eubank Jr vs GGG

Post by Verdi »

Just seeing on social media that this could be taking place in September.

What do you think?

Can deny that Eubank Jr has got some serious balls for wanting to fight GGG, but is it a step too far?

I think Eubank Jr is getting better all the time and will be GGG's hardest fight to date if this match goes ahead, but still think GGG will win by late stoppage. Respect to him for wanting the fight though, nobody can accuse him of ducking opponents like so many other boxers seem to do nowadays.

I see a hard beating for Eubank Jr., and some hard stares from Eubank Sr. in the corner while he's doing his little pose.

What specifically is your source for this? You can see a lot of things on social media.....

Eubank seems to have a respectable chin so he could go rounds, but I'd be surprised at anything other than GGG domination.

Can't see any way Eubank Jnr could win this if it did happen. He's way too open defensively and also doesn't hit hard enough.

If Eubank fights Golokin he will go out on his shield, which is why he should not fight him, too much power.

Fair play if he does, he'll gain a lot of respect and he'll be able to rib BJS for a long time.

Good chin and poor defence is a recipe for disaster against GGG. Still it's a fight I wouldn't mind seeing.

good fight, eubank is a contender and contenders fight for titles so good for him, as for his chances, well we cant possibly know can we, current form suggests a GGG win but this is boxing and undefeated champions do lose

I can see it being exciting to watch for 3 rounds

I think Eubank is likely to land some impressive shots and take a few in return. Ultimately the power will tell and when GGG gets to him it's over.

Surprised if Golovkin doesn't take Jacobs and BJS first though

Would love to see it just to have the chance to watch GGG live in the UK. Golovkin destroys him in the mid-late rounds though.

Me too, Eubank is fearless, he would go for Golokin, he will make it exciting.

I'd like to hope the eubank fights ggg, he will at least go for it, it would be a worthy PPV imo. I dont think GGG will go after BJS that heavily as BJS won't travel and isnt a big draw in this country outside the hardcore boxing fans.

Not getting excited until it is signed. Eubank Snr is happy to say all these things but we all know how hard he is to deal with.....let's see

why would Hearn match Eubank with GGG

surely Brook should be first in line... he has been with him years & years and both Brook/Hearn want that fight

Eubank would get messed up.

Be fun whilst it lasted, but GGG will just walk through his punches after the opening rounds have passed and he'd halt him.

Eubank beats GGG for no other reason than everyone else is backing GGG and I love an underdog...

Good fight if it happens. Jnr seems pretty tough so could take GGG a few rounds and maybe cause him a few problems with his speed and combinations but you'd have to fancy GGG to walk him down and stop him late on. Hats off to Jnr if he takes the fight but I think this is just posturing from his team again.

I think Eubank is being seriously overrated here. I mean, I don't think hes proved himself a better offensive fighter than Lemieux yet and yet I'm seeing people talk about his combinations causing problems? Remember Lemieux barely laying a meaningful glove on GGG?
