What earlier version is the question. Certainly not anytime from 1964-1967.yancey wrote:Syntax Error wrote:I don't think so.Rexob wrote:A 66, 67, Ali would have beat Frazier quite easily, don't you think.
Ali would always have had trouble with Frazier.
OK, he might not have struggled as much if we was in his '67 vintage, but he would have had his work cut out to deter Smokin' Joe.
Some may or may not get this, but 3/8/71 Ali was tougher and stronger then the earlier version.
He had to be.

Was there a fight as close as Ali vs Frazier I?
Re: Ali vs Frazier I: Would There Be Anything Like It?
No... Ali hit George Chuvalo with a million punches and couldn't hurt him... Frazier started putting his left hook on the immobile Chuvalo and started hurting him right away in the first round. He stopped Chuvlalo in the 4th... Ali didn't do anything to Chuvalo... Ali was wide open for left hooks and that happened to be Frazier's only weapon... Frazier couldn't get his left hook on George Foreman because he was too strong.Rexob wrote:A 66, 67, Ali would have beat Frazier quite easily, don't you think.
