????

why?

he also pulled out of fighting Ortiz.

that's a shame because the Dave show might have be ok with a briggs undercards plus possible a big Nick Webb ko.

I hope briggs gets a decent replacement and dosnt pull out
It's interesting that Dimitrenko says he was never approached by anyone for the fight, said he had no contact with Hayemaker promotions at all, he is even talking about getting his lawyers involved if the Haye team say anything else, It's all very strange.

Yeah, with this stuff, I'm starting to think maybe Haye did fake his shoulder injury.

I mean WTF is this?

Chatted with Haye while walking around an Expo in Birmingham on Saturday. A week before a fight, clearly sees it as nothing to stress about by the fact he was hundreds of miles away, strolling round without a care in the world.

I thought he had nicked my phone at one point but just flicked it open for a selfie

Free signed glove if you buy a ticket off him today down at Canary Wharf.

Of course it's the biggest draw in town, well matched, super-star status bill, so well worth the money and not desperate for ticket sales.

1st time I'd heard of Gjergjaj was when he was due to fight Chisora for the European last year, for whatever reason that fight never happened,I know he's still unbeaten but I don't recognize anyone on his record really apart from Bakhtov who put him down,I think Haye will have him out of there in 2 rounds

Shannon Briggs fighting Jakov Gospic instead of Dinktrenko. Do any of us think Dimitrenko was ever genuinely signed to fight Briggs?

I don't.
Haye vs. Briggs is the fun fight to make. Dimitrenko would have thrown a spanner in the works, Gospic will not...

I was furiously looking on oddschecker to see if any bookies were offering odds on Briggs v Dimitrenko. I was getting hoping to god some plonker got confused with the A side so I could go big on Dimitrenko.

I wondered why Gospic was on the first Boxrec page. It seems like normal service has been resumed, a very un-Dimitrenko like record
17 (12)- 14 (8) -0

http://boxrec.com/boxer/286711

A few recognisable names on his record, he's been KO'd by Skelton, Teper, Takam, Cornish, Chisora. Never won a fight that has been schedule for more than 6.

He is shorter and will be outweighed by Briggs so we can't even get excited because the lowly opponent being led to slaughter is bigger. Oh well there's the main event for that.

Gospic is Briggs weakest opponend ever right? The only good thing I see is that he hasn't ever been KOed in the first round, like Briggs is used to do, despite having some nice opponends on his name.

It's one hell of a step down - his last 7 wins have a combined record of 2-17-0

No. Briggs, who I do respect as a seriously hard man, is an accident waiting to happen at this level but who has publicised himself well enough to get a decent payday. Why risk that?

Dimitrenko made no sense at all - why would Briggs be facing a better opponent than Haye?

It's all just cobblers.

It's hilarious how the only UK TV channel which will entertain Haye is best known for showing repeats of Top Gear, Storage Hunters and Mock the Week.

They repeats will probably be more entertaining than this card. I'll watch it in any case but I feel a bit deflated after the Wilder v Povetkin fight was pulled!

Briggs has another new opponent, a guy who Hughie Fury stopped in two. Will the fight even happen?

Maybe they can bring Eric Crumbles out of retirement, hopefully he's eat himself to over 200ibs.
