Great! But that punch (slo-mo) went more than six inches, no?

If that was the case and criteria, tommy hearns had a terrible physique cos his legs (the biggest body group in body) were too thin for boxing
Holyfields big chest didnt help his boxing either
Deontay Wilders legs are even worse than Hearns.Cutman Scabbers wrote:Judah Ben Fur wrote:True but thats not the point i was making.....this is a topic about best physiques in boxing....not what part of the physique would make a better boxer![]()

Understood. Don't agree about Tommy Hearns and the thin leg thing though.
So many great boxers have/had thin legs (or at least what look like "thin" legs).
I think such legs can be great for boxers -- especially when they're long!
Bradley's a vegan isn't he, I think David Haye has become one too.95gerog wrote: Bradley always looks like he's trained for a year solid and had an immaculate diet.

felt the same way about ray leonard, his physique at light middle looked like the perfect fighters bodyKalan wrote:Sugar Ray Robinson had the best physique in Fistic History... I actually don't think Robinson was that dedicated or hard a trainer. He wasn’t body conscious at all. I never ONCE saw Robinson in the classic “body builder biceps pose” that everyone does standing on the scales. George Gainford said Robinson was a bit embarrassed about his body. He thought he had puny looking arms compared to some of the guys he fought. He never lifted weights, which boxers were told NOT to do in those days. He lost fights to guys like Basilio, Fuller, Ralph Jones, Turpin, Maxim, and seemed to "phone it in" for some fights like Roberto Duran did after he got rich. But SRR always looked in shape. He had a magnificently natural "boxer's body" with long smooth muscles, perfect symmetry and proportion… A length of arms, legs, neck, and torso that was perfect for a middleweight… He had no flaws in his shoulders, chest, neck, arms, legs, waist or back. He looked the part of a boxer in every way.
The absolute worst physique I’ve ever seen on an undefeated World Ranked boxer is that of Heavyweight Andy Ruiz... No matter how hard Ruiz trains he says his body doesn’t seem to change... The fat isn’t coming off. The muscles aren’t coming in. The marshmallow look just doesn’t go away. Eddie Hearn wanted to give Andy Ruiz a shot at Joshua, but said. “When I looked at the photos and footage of his fights there’s no way. I’d catch Hell for having this guy fight Joshua. He has a great record and is undefeated and everything, but he doesn’t look the part.”
Leonard is a fair candidate, but with flaws. He could look a little ungainly, and had too much biceps at times. Anthony Joshua has a great physique but it's destroyed by a crooked lower back. Robinson musculature was smoother, longer, completely natural, and his frame was without flaws. Tony Janiro had a fabulous physique at his best, but it deteriorated. Oddly enough, many fans (even the media) continue to mistake Tony Janiro the boxer for Tony Genaro the actor. Janiro died in 1985 and Genaro died in 2014, but for almost 30 years Genaro would sometimes pretend to be Janiro when people made that mistake, "I saw you fight, you were great." He knew all about Janiro's career and could fake it. They looked nothing alike facially, but the names were so similar. If you type in Tony Genaro boxer on Google images both their pictures come up.littlepug wrote:felt the same way about ray leonard, his physique at light middle looked like the perfect fighters bodyKalan wrote:Sugar Ray Robinson had the best physique in Fistic History
