Re: Next For Chris Eubank jr?
I hope he fights Saunders next i think he could beat him now. The first fight was close and Eubank lost the first 4 or 5 rounds!
Re: Next For Chris Eubank jr?
Would like him to fight Saunders but I can see them going after Jacobs first. Think he's ranked #1 or #2 with the WBA. If he came into the Saunders rematch as a "world champion" the fight would be huge.

Golovkin!
Re: Next For Chris Eubank jr?
Yeah I went for Jacobs in the poll. Right good fight. If he managed to get past that then a unification with BJS would be a right good earner for both.ElJefe wrote:Would like him to fight Saunders but I can see them going after Jacobs first. Re: Next For Chris Eubank jr?
He's just too good to be chased at the moment. Not enough reward attached to the risk. BJS sounded pretty keen to have a go in the summer and Fwank has talked about a stadium fight but we'll see how serious they are in time.Boxerbeetle wrote:Golovkin!

Re: Next For Chris Eubank jr?
Eubank and BJS need to fight the rematch soon.
Both could quite easily lose against top opposition and lose a couple of million from the purse.
The first fight was close and I would edge to Eubank nicking it on points.
This could quite easily turn into a trilogy.

Groves vs Brophy now this, you really are spoiling us with these quality domestic match ups Mr. Hearn ![[icon_neutral.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_neutral.gif)
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tom Doran - June 25th 2016
Is it just me or this a ridiculous fight.
Nothing against Tom Doran ( though I was disgusted about how he came in 8lbs overweight recently) I know he will come and give it a go.
Eubank is 1/20 with bookies and if memory serves me right he was probably about 1/5-7 v Spike and Blackwell. His opposition has been going backwards.

No, it's 'ridiculous' and pretty pointless, Eubank is WBA mandatory he should be aiming higher than this really.Naandrew wrote:Is it just me or this a ridiculous fight

Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tom Doran - June 25th 2016
I like Doran he seems like a nice fella and he's becoming a fun fighter to watch,he was quite lucky to beat Cunningham in Prizefighter from memory but he left no doubt when he KO'd Renda in the final,he tagged him sweet, and well the Keeler fight was crazy,1 of those fights that boxing throws up in rare occasions,Tom was put down with that big right hand early but tagged Luke straight away and finished him in the following round
I cant see Eubank Jr being too different than before the Blackwell fight,he doesnt seem the type to be affected by that sort of stuff,he comes across as very determined and strong minded and i think he'll stop Doran about halfway through,im sure Tom will be brave and show plenty of resistence but i think Chris will overwhelm him with shots from all angles, especiaally those uppercuts which are becoming his trademark
Fun fight while it lasts though

Never seen anyone land so many lead uppercuts.handsofstone wrote:I like Doran he seems like a nice fella and he's becoming a fun fighter to watch,he was quite lucky to beat Cunningham in Prizefighter from memory but he left no doubt when he KO'd Renda in the final,he tagged him sweet, and well the Keeler fight was crazy,1 of those fights that boxing throws up in rare occasions,Tom was put down with that big right hand early but tagged Luke straight away and finished him in the following round

From a technical viewpoint you wouldn't recommend it as if you miss your wide open.
But he's so accurate with it. He has a full Arsenal of power punches. Maybe needs to work on his Jab a bit.

Eubank by stoppage. Doran likes to trade and is vulnerable. Been down a few times but to his credit got up and won but just don't see him doing that with eubank.

Lead right uppercuts are something you get away with against lower level opposition. As you move up the ranks, you'll get badly punished.PredatorHayds wrote:Never seen anyone land so many lead uppercuts.handsofstone wrote:I like Doran he seems like a nice fella and he's becoming a fun fighter to watch,he was quite lucky to beat Cunningham in Prizefighter from memory but he left no doubt when he KO'd Renda in the final,he tagged him sweet, and well the Keeler fight was crazy,1 of those fights that boxing throws up in rare occasions,Tom was put down with that big right hand early but tagged Luke straight away and finished him in the following round

He needs to abandon that habit, if it becomes too ingrained, he's going to be shipping a lot of punishment. If he tries to pull that kind of shit with GGG, he will get smashed to bits.
It's a good one to throw into the mix, but not as your main punch, he seems to use it in place of a jab most of the time!

thought he showed a really good jab in the Blackwell fight, maybe they been working on itCounter-puncher wrote:Perhaps a slight understatement!PredatorHayds wrote:Never seen anyone land so many lead uppercuts.handsofstone wrote:I like Doran he seems like a nice fella and he's becoming a fun fighter to watch,he was quite lucky to beat Cunningham in Prizefighter from memory but he left no doubt when he KO'd Renda in the final,he tagged him sweet, and well the Keeler fight was crazy,1 of those fights that boxing throws up in rare occasions,Tom was put down with that big right hand early but tagged Luke straight away and finished him in the following round

He definitely jabbed more in that fight than I've seen previously. Still not enough though.littlepug wrote:thought he showed a really good jab in the Blackwell fight, maybe they been working on itCounter-puncher wrote:Perhaps a slight understatement!PredatorHayds wrote: Never seen anyone land so many lead uppercuts.

Thought Doran looked a bit unwell being interviewed by IFL. Has he had to shift a lot of weight?
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tom Doran - June 25th 2016
eubank jnr stoppage. then hopefully ggg gives him a hiding

As far as I'm aware he made weight comfortably, as he did when he came in at 158.5 for Keeler fight. Amazing what proper dietician and strength and conditioning coach do for a fighter. Dont forget Tom had a full time job until recently, think it was just before Keeler fight he left his job at Hawker Beechcraft to dedicate his life to boxing"full time"
