Agree, it struck me as a little off too but I then brushed it off as I do not have any experience with horses. Ditto him looking big. I noticed it most at the end when you say his whole body outside with the dog, looked large around the ass, hips, belly and a lot more thickset than you'd expect. I think his out of the ring habits and condition may bite him in the ass eventually. Probably why he does seem to slow down through the back end of fights.
