Bob Ajisafe

Post by Seven Tapered Knives »

Completely forgotten on this big weekend of boxing, Bob is on the Lebedev vs Ramirez undercard fighting unbeaten Umar Salamov for the vacant IBO 175lbs title.

Tough fight especially after almost a years inactivity.

Hope he can do it :TU:

Already, must have been one of the opening bouts on the bill (a 'world' title fight as a show opener)

Thanks will have a look now.

Started the bout well, but looked lost in the later rounds...might go on to be good but at the moment...he's nothing to write home about. Bivol looked fornicating brilliant on the same card

Just watched Bobs fight and it was much better than what I was expecting. Really competitive.

Scored it a draw but the Russian judges card of 117-111 was disgusting I can accept the 115-113 cards in favour of Salamov.

Bobs slow start let him down to be honest but he dominated the mid rounds.

Have to say it was really refreshing on the Russian card to see young fighters ( Salamov and Bivol) in fights where they are actually going to learn and extend themselves too few British fighters are doing this.

Bivol's whole career has been refreshing, been great to follow him and his rise through the rankings. Fair enough the Dominican was a bit unknown, though looked alright last time he was in Russia, but could you imagine someone like Callum Smith moving that quickly with his career?
