There is no way it isn't Hatton.

Plus.....what a minger.

Her head is a different colour to her body and her gut looks like that Mexican boxer from a couple of years back. I can't place his name now.

Fringe world class, bit of a mustache and poo hair.

You mean Marco Antonio Rubio!!! That is fvcking funny!!!! Cruel but very funny!!!

That's him. I couldn't remember his name.

Steve Collins likes a Guinness.....but I still think it's Hatton, despite the "good shape" red herring.....Although the Glen Mac twitter deletion is interesting. He likes a drink too bit would he have the funds to get a gagging order?

I'm now intrigued /obsessed.

Glenn hasn't deleted his account. Though he hasn't tweeted since 8 May.

The brass is also from Manchester which does point towards Hatton of course.
The only part that doesn't ring true for Ricky is the part about the boxer being fit, and in good shape. No idea why the Star would want to lie about that.... Unless they're very clever and tossed in a Red Herring to get people to discuss it even more (and its worked on Boxrec!) Or they're doing it on purpose to take the p1ss out of re boxer deliberately (if it's Hatton.)

Would Hatton really take out an injunction to stop it being published though? There's been that much stuff in the past that it isn't going to make any difference to his reputation and the missus of whoever it is already knows so he wouldn't be doing it to keep it from her.

There should be a statue of Sir Carl of Froch erected outside Wembley just so no one forgets that night

I actually looked at his Twitter to see if there were any clues or activity and he has a sense of humour about it and interacts with users laughing about it. I think he revels in it

His kids are older now and he would want to protect them, rather than his own reputation.

Yeah he seems to have a good sense of humour. I like him. I never liked him at first because I was a big Calzaghe fan but Froch is top notch. I got his book a couple of xmas's ago and it was surprisingly a very good read.

Ok - yesterday big Glen pulled out of acting in play about his life. This had been plugged quite heavily.

His Twitter account hasn't been updated since 8 May.

Begging some skank for a g of speedy pub grub and offering her a ton for a bunk up over a Guinness?

I'm watching yesterday's sky coverage of Joseph Parkers fight with Takam.

Big Glen seems too relaxed for someone who may get exposed in the press for liking coke on his willy.

The talk on twitter seems to be pointing towards a retired former cruiser belt holder from the north east who has forged a career as a broadcaster post boxing..

Is this Murdoch’s paper? Was a Murdoch paper behind the misery inducing, life ruining phone hacking? Do these people have any room to talk about what is shame-worthy? I think not.

I love Glenn. Have hung out and partied with him many times back in the day. He is very humorous and interesting. The most interesting people always have a bit of the devil in them....

I hope it's not him because I wouldn't like to see his reputation and job compromised, as well as his family.

My only thought is that although Glenn is a reasonably big name in British Boxing, I wouldn't say that he's 'a big star' (and who would want to be.)

Also, and I'm not sure how money in lawyer's fees it takes to get such an injunction, I'm not sure Glenn would have the cash to spend on shutting this story down.

In my mind, given the attention the Daily Star has given this story, and given the fact the man had the spare cash to quash it.... It has to be a big name.

These are my suspects in terms of likelihood:

1. Hatton
2. Froch
3. Calzaghe

Outsiders - Barry McGuigan, Steve Collins, Naseem Hamed, Glenn
Real outsiders - Benn, Eubank, Johnny Nelson, Anthony Farnell, Paul Hodkinson, Enzo Mac, Paul Ingle
