That's money for old rope
Re: Haye earnt £1 million from last night's fight
Must be nice to get a Million when you could've had basically just as easy a time if you were fighting a guy with no arms.

The shots Haye landed on Gjergjaj reminded me of the ones Mercer landed on Morrison

It's called Priizefighting. I think Haye has done a fantastic job of promoting these two events.

Yes he has. As serious boxing fan we can see through the hype. But you have to give Haye credit. He's a bloody marketing genius...... he knows how to make money and get attention. Even the Dave tv thing is genius. Gets see n on free Tv and even gets coverage because he's using a new channel. Gets paid well. Gets column inches. Picks perfect opponents who sound threatening but are as dangerous as a peanut butter sandwich. Gets paid a million for whacking out bums that wouldn't win a regional amateur title.keithmoonhangover wrote:It's called Priizefighting. Sorry, but from a business angle, I'm super impressed.... he's selling to the casual and doing a great job.....

Agree reggae and I'm pretty sure the longer game hes playing with an AJ fight will come off and he'll walk off into the sunset with a pile of cash etc
He'll lose the AJ fight. He's shown clear evidence of a lack of humility, and no heavyweight should bother entering the ring with AJ ('shut up') if he hasn't got some serious fucken humbles, fam.

I don't believe he earned a million. If he did then he's a lot smarter than I give him credit for....

Nice one Haye, Hes got a good business head on his shoulders. I have no worries about that.
Re: Haye earnt £1 million from last night's fight
The Dave coverage was pretty lousy. They kept losing sound.
I'm always glad to have boxing on freeview, rather than divvy Pay-Per-Views on Sky. However, I wish Dave would put proper boxing on and not Haye knocking out nobodies in front of his wanky celebrity mates.

He loves himself that much he probably thinks that the channel is even named after him !
I bet he can't wait to go on Soccer AM next week and go on about what a tough challenger etc. etc.

Nice, fairplay can't knock business sense.
Re: Haye earnt £1 million from last night's fight
He complete fooled the crowd in attendance too. They were all cheering "who are ya" at the opponent and cheering Haye's every punch, rather than booing in disgust at the extent of the mismatch.
Re: Haye earnt £1 million from last night's fight
Why would they buy a ticket to a mismatch and then whine about it being a mismatch?johnswan1 wrote:He complete fooled the crowd in attendance too. They were all cheering "who are ya" at the opponent and cheering Haye's every punch, rather than booing in disgust at the extent of the mismatch.
They'd be far bigger mugs if they booed him.

I would fight Arnold Whathisname for a million quid too, especially if he fell over to order from arm punches & jabs!

Imagine where we would be now if Hayemaker Promotions and Setanta had survived.
