Can't any of you more experienced fighters tell me what I need to do next time please? Or give examples of southpaw vs southpaw fights I can watch?
Surround the ring with floor to ceiling mirrors. Both of you then look at the mirrors rather than your live opponent. The reflection will make you think your opponent is orthodox and that you are also orthodox. Hey presto, problem solved!
That seems like the simplest solution to me.

Alternatively, at 2:14 seconds into the first round get your bird to flash him from ringside, as he is momentarily distracted bang the left straight down the pipe. Will serve the c*** right for gawking at your bird.

the dynamics of southpaw vs southpaw are the same as orthodox vs orthodox: you want to get outside their front foot.

we're lucky at our gym, we have 3 southpaws so they can get used to spaw sparring, places ive been before, sometimes theres only one spaw in the whole gaff.

Hamed vs Kelley, Kelley vs Gainer, Williams vs Quintana, Chagaev vs Pianete

Some good recommendations there matt

Another couple, taller vs shorter southpaws:

Martinez vs Williams
Relatively obscure but a recent good one at 115lbs I think, Hirales vs Mendoza where the shorter dude uses good head movement to get inside and hammer the body
