Burns undercard last night

Post by mainman1 »

Did anyone attend the show last night? I was disappointed that we never got to see any of the Scottish fighters on the undercard on SKY.

Joe Ham was worryingly dropped but was it due to him being too cocky or was he hurt? Isn't a great thing when you are being dropped by a guy 4-2 that has never dropped anyone before. Maybe he won't be as good as i thought.

Lewis Paulin was also dropped last night against a guy 3-3-1 that like Joe Ham's opponent has never dropped anybody else even when winning. I thought Lewis would be a decent level pro but if he is getting dropped at this level can he realistically go anywhere?

Sam Ball was another up and coming prospect that was dropped last night but at least his guy was another undefeated boxer but he too had never dropped an opponent before last night. Tbh though I think Sam Ball's style means that he will be involved in wars and that he will be dropped pretty regularly even when he wins.

Were any of these guys badly hurt or was it just down to being to confident? How far can these 3 go?

Hey I went last night and watched every fight.

Joe Ham was dropped but wasn't really a heavy knockdown he got straight back up but he was rattled as holt then added the pressure.

Sam Ball was a flash knockdown, hennon slipped and landed back hand as Sam walked in. He got straight back up and walked him down and finish stronger.

Lewis was a worrying one as he was shook to his boots and in my opinion got very lucky in the decision. I put it down to all the waiting about and being chucked in at midnight. Hearn basically using these boys to boost sales and putting their careers at risk as there not used to that. Brad Botham would have taught him a lot but for me he's nowhere near ready to step up. He showed he can be hurt

Good to see Scottish boys back on the map. I hope Burns can have a few more fights at home then he can have the youngsters on his bill again.
