Tony Bellew's post fight interview
Tony Bellew's post fight interview
Great interview but Andy Scott constantly apologising for the language was rather annoying. It always me baffles whlist watching boxing, the commentators apologising for bad language. Case in point- on Saturday night we had just witnessed Makabu being rendered unconscious but god forbid any naughty words
Re: Tony Bellew's post fight interview
Here here. Embarrassing from Sky. I was thinking to myself do they not realize how stupid that sounds?

I hope one day a fighter cuts the interview short by telling the 'language nazi' to effing do one!
Re: Tony Bellew's post fight interview
If he was knocked unconscious on Saturday night there's no f*cking way should have been allowed in the ring against Bellew on Sundaylefty wrote:Great interview but Andy Scott constantly apologising for the language was rather annoying. That winds me up too,it's not as if any viewers would ever complain anyway,it's goes with the sport when the adrenaline is pumping things get said.
Re: Tony Bellew's post fight interview
It is pathetic; I was watching the exorcist on sky the other night and they never once apologised for a young teenager shouting your mother sucks c ocks in hell whilst fvucking herself with a crucifix? Double standard or what ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)

It is stupid, they show a sport where the idea is to knock living fook out of your opponent but naughty words are bad. The live Hatton presser against Floyd was the best! Do they think the kind of people who watch boxing would get offended? It's not tennis or golf, it's a fooking fight!

Re: Tony Bellew's post fight interview
Sky's aversion to any swearing during live boxing is probably reaction to the rhetoric of the do gooders who want boxing banned.
Those nutters think boxing's participants and fans are neanderthal so Sky imply that their boxing fans are cultured, mild mannered, liberal flowers by taking offence on their behalf to the mildest of swearwords.
It's pathetic.

Anyone who will quite happily watch two people batter each other but gets offended by hearing them swear, is IMO a complete pudendum.

Re: Tony Bellew's post fight interview
The only exception to the rule would be a Arnie Farnell corner.
He dropped about 15 c-bombs and 20 f-words inbetween rounds.
It even prompted a apology from Rawling on allegedly.
Arnie was class again Sunday. allegedly t-shirt on and the fact he swear so loud it got picked up on ringside mic and they apologised for that.

Re: Tony Bellew's post fight interview
It's boxing, it's past the watershed. Apologising for anyone's language is pathetic. If you stick a microphone under the nose of someone who has just been in a fight, they're bound to let a few swears out, who cares?!
You can turn over and watch a programme with a load of bare tits and fannys in it with everyone effing and blinding but you watch boxing and you're supposed to believe that everyone is all sweetness and light?!

I wonder if Adam or anybody else from Sky asked Arnie to remove his B-Nation T-Shirt
I can imagine him swiftly telling them to fvck off
