If I were Povetkin I'd sue the pants off Wilder, the WBC, Victor Conte, and VADA for defamation. There's a language barrier and Russia is on the other side of the world so it may seem like a daunting problem. Would you sue somebody in Russia who fkked you???? ... Most people would think twice but I wouldn't. I would try to learn Russian and go after vested interests for as long as I could, for as hard as I could, if they did anything like that to me. You have the emotional satisfaction of fighting them and getting your side heard, even if you lose to corrupt judges or worse...

Hurricane Carter never gave up ... and the Canadians fighting for his freedom never gave up for 20 years... Povetkin deserved that Title Shot.

Just when I thought you two couldn't get any dumber....you both should be banned for stupidity.

If Povetkin accepted the fight in januari Wada and Vada and Wilder wouldn't have had any problems with it if Povetkin had like well over 200 times as much meldonium in his body as he had in his latest test.

@kalan, Badhusker probably should have quoted foxdog and bigman, since he said they should be banned for stupidity. One of them didn't even seem to know how the Povetkin Klitschko fight happened lol. They are probably just here to troll, just like Wilder.

Once again Povetkin tested clean, as allways.

I see a troll in Wilder, he's saying for several years in a row now he wants to fight the best, but for some reason he never actually does that.
He avoids Parker, he avoids Haye, he avoids Ortiz, he avoids Klitschko, he avoids Fury, he avoids Pulev, he avoids Joshua, he avoids Chagaev, even Briggs, Takam, Hughie Fury, name them.
Everyone who can be a tiny bit risky is avoided by him. Povetkin is just another example of that. All we hear is talks that AJ chose an odd route and isn't as good as Wilder. When AJ said he wasn't ready for the top yet (about a year ago) Wilder suddenly said "Aj, if you ever want to step up I'll be ready to fight you!". How much of a troll is that? The biggest nobodyfighter in the heavyweight league saying to AJ that he's ready if AJ steps up XD! He even predicted Whyte would beat AJ lol, I'm quite confident that was another troll since he can't be that dumb. Whyte would probably beat Wilder, but ofcourse not a top contender like AJ.

Last year was even more funny, Povetkin wanted to fight him, but ofcourse Wilder was too scared, back then even more as nowadays even probably and Wilder still had a year before he had no option left but fighting Povetkin, so it's oke. What does he do? Challenge Hughie Fury XD! When does he do it? When he knows Hughie has to show up alone since his cousin was fighting against Klitschko. Silly silly trolly boy Wilder, but guess what? Hughie actually accepted on 8 weeks notice!
Guess what troll Wilder said? "No! I only accept on 7,5 weeks notice!" Silly silly silly troll Wilder, hometown advantage, beïng prepared far longer, beïng taller, older, catch him when his whole family is busy because of the Klitschko fight, everything in Wilder's advantage, but still to scared to fight the 19 year old Hughie Fury... Eventually he moved on to Duhaupas, a French guy who has only fought 3 guys in his entire life that were actually known by wikipedia at the time and actually lost against most of them.
Wilder pronounced him by saying he had over 30 wins and has never been KOed, silly silly trolly boy Wilder... Duhaupas wasn't even a pro at all, he was just a part time boxer who made post delivery mailboxes as a job! And whole America thought this was a world championship defend lol!

Or the Povetkin story, Wilder knew Povetkin only fights in the second half of may and usually around october. Somehow Wilder managed to delay everything with his bum/Hughie/Duhaupas trolltrick that Povetkin eventually had to move on and fight in november. Suddenly Wilder acted like he wanted to fight Povetkin in januari, knowing that Povetkin would keep his word and plans to fight next summer. That summer Povetkin accepted pretty much everything, but Wilder still kept pushing for all kind of unfair advantages. He said he didn't want to go to Russia because it was too cold and trolls like that, while having no problems with fighting when he knows no top contender can fight him in januari. Wilder delayed everything so long that a purse bid was the only option left for Povetkin. Povetkin won and planned the fight, Wilder was clearly scared as hell and still continued to beg for all kind of unfair advantages and then all of a sudden... ??? He said he wanted to figh!
Wow!!! Finally! After all those years he was actually going to fight a real opponend?! That's amazing! Or... Did he know something else to delay as much time as possible? I can't figure out how he can possibly continue to avoid the fight? He's actually going to Russia!

OH NO!!! Biggest troll of all! Wilder already figured out that Povetkin must have had some meldonium left in his blood since Povetkin used that about his entire life and it allways showed up when it was allowed. So Wilder already knew, before any test happened that this stuff must be in Povetkin's pee if it was checked. Look at Wilder, he's not even in shape atm lol, he's more fat as he's ever been in his entire life! He never had any intentions to fight Povetkin at all, he didn't even wait for what the WBC was going to do, he simply flew back to America the cowardish troll!
When he was back in America he said he's scared for his life against a meldonium user because it would make Povetkin an unnatural superhuman. Wilder would prefere to throw his belt away above fighting Povetkin (while he first said he fought for his daughter, but we all know he cares like 0% about his own daughter). Remarkebly, if the fight happened in januari it would ofcourse have been absolutely no problem at all, even if Povetkin had over 200 times as much meldonium in his body. A couple of days later, what does the troll do? Trying to fight against a boxer who actually did get cought using all kind of illegal substances in amounts far above what's allowed. How much of a troll can you be?

Let's be honoust, Wilder is the biggest troll in heavyweight boxing, if you don't see that, you got to be blind.

Thank you for your clear headed and thoughtful posting Freedom2013. This proves that Dan Rafael, Dontae, and other defamers in the American media should to eat their words and pay damages for trying to destroy Povetkin's reputation. There was an unholy conspiracy behind these allegations, with the agenda of destroying Povetkin's well earned chance at a Heavyweight Title and ruining Russia's ability to host major World Title Fights. All the brainless idiots who didn't check the facts before jumping to conclusions still won't admit they were wrong though. They never do.

I am happy the fight is finally on. Hopefully soon :)

FYI I was never wrong. The whole time, I just reiterated what we were told. So I was misinformed as we all were.

I do give you and asdfjkl credit for sticking to your guns. It was easier for asdfjkl cos he's a FAN of Povetkin.

Like I've said many times before, I'm not a fan of Povetkin but I do believe he will beat Wilder. I always favour the better boxer, Beyoncé is just a slugger. Hopefully we'll see this soon. They should fight in America, there's never any problems when it's over there.

We WEREN'T misinformed. Nobody said Povetkin failed any test. They were using the fact that Povetking had 1/14th (70 nanograms) the Meldonium allowed (if he had 980 nanograms he would still pass because it's under 1 microgram) in 1 test, to say Meldonium was found in his sample... So although they didn't say he failed the test, they implied he was dirty through innuendo. Povetkin never asked for his B sample to be tested because he passed the first test. But what VADA did was arbitrarily test his B sample to find it also contained 70 nanograms Meldonium DUH!!! ... so they created another sensational headline to further smear Povetkin's reputation.. And the WBC postponed the fight for "further investigation" which is more innuendo and destroys the rival promoter's promotion. There was no need to postpone the fight. Povetkin never took an illegal drug or PED. There is still a tiny trace in his system that might test to a few nanograms depending on how poorly hydrated he is.

But people in general are going to believe sensational innuendo like this because most people are just not Heavyweight thinkers. The WBC, VADA, Dan Rafael, ESPN Sports, Wilder, Dontae Boxing Nation, and many other reckless sources should be sued. They are the sources of these defaming stories attempting to destroy Povetkin and his promoter.

They'll say "We never told a lie. HIs sample WAS positive for Meldonium." ... Your blood is has traces of lead, arsenic, and chlorine, but you don't have anything close to dangerous amounts in your system more than likely. But if your doctor said "You have traces of lead, chlorine, and arsenic in your system, we need to do further tests because this could be troublesome." It's not be troublesome at all, but if the additional tests were billed to your insurance company for $3000.00 each it would be a scam. VADA charges a lot for testing. They say additional VADA tests are around 6000 dollars but they won't give an exact figure. Obviously there's an incentive for testing pros to get as many tests done as possible and get the commissions to rule that random testing be done for as many fights as possible -- and to get boxers to sign up for year around voluntary testing if they can do that. I would want the promoter to pay for the tests and would say "screw the tests" if they're not mandatory.

You WERE doing well until you made this post. Like asdfjkl, you kind of set yourself up.

What am I on about? Ok the world was informed that Povetkin had failed a drug test. It's everywhere, you can find threads about it right here on boxrec to prove that IS what we were informed (it sounds dumb having to explain this) you even made this thread which opposes Povetkins illegal testing BUT recognizes and addresses what we were informed.

Did somebody say Povetkin failed a test? (I'll use your words) well duh!!

May I ask how the negative test in May clears the positive (even though at very low level) result in April ? Yes, a level of meldonium in Povetkin's body now is below a detectable level, but it only proves that he didn't take it after the previous test and his body has been cleared of it. Isn't a point of random testing to not let cheaters (I am NOT saying that Povetkin is one) to clear their body by an expected test date ?

What would benefit Povetkin much more is some expert confirming that his previous level was in fact 70 nanogram, and that is a very close to a detectable level, so negative tests at the beginning of April could easily be false negatives, and the positive test could be a result of lower hydration. That would be in a line with a theory that Povetkin didn't take meldonium after the ban.

NOBODY doing the testing and issuing the test results said Povetkin FAILED any tests... Stop playing gotcha... You know damned well people deliberately misinterpreted the test results and made up headlines about failed tests.. ANYONE can do that. Of ANY testing authority, or the WBC, or WADA, or VADA, NOBODY there said a damned thing about Povetkin FAILING any PED test.

Look did I say 'I told you so' when you said Meldonium wasn't a PED and I proved you wrong? No so just chill.

Once more YOU made the mistake on your post. YOU set yourself up and NOW you've added 'doing the test and issuing..' to your 'nobody said Povetkin failed the test' just stop it and relax. You got it wrong after being right. It is what it is.

Up to what point can you blame someone for being stupit? If you take a look at youtube, my god those Americans are dumb. They understand absolutely nothing about science, they are too retarded to understand that Povetkin was clean all the time, no matter how clear the evidence is. Even if you translate it to dumb people language instead of numbers. Anyone with a brain can understand them but they still don't. I can fully understand some type of race that's now considered as people were seen as monkeys back in the days. They act like they only understand what they want to hear and continue to deny reality and science. How can you keep on sticking your head in Wilders but after all this bullshit? Well they prove they can.

All test were negative, including the tests in the end of april. There is just found evidence of things we already knew, that's all. I'm not sure why American testers think that it's now proven Povetkin was clean all the time, by checking his old samples they would have known all numbers added up all the time. Wilder got what he wants, even more delay, that's the worst thing of all. I don't understand why the WBC doesn't take the belt away from him.
