Well done Tony. Not his biggest fan but credit where it's due. There must have been a lot of pressure on him last night and to come through and win is a massive achievement.

That was a brilliant fight. If the knockdown came earlier in r1 Bellew would have been in real trouble. Fantastic war though... can't remember enjoying a cruiser fight as much as that one.

He's got POWER.

Great fight. Far better fighter than talker that's for sure.
Really devastating knockout.

Don't you mean he's a far better talker than fighter?

He's on OK fighter, but if he could fight as well as he talked, he'd be the top of ALL boxing fan's p4p lists, that's for sure & that includes Wilt Chamberlain too! :OhYes:

Meant it in the context I prefer him a lot more as a fighter than talker.

I watch him fight and try to like him but then he opens his mouth.

Sunday's win was actually a really good boxing moment and is getting lost in all the hysteria he's created afterwards.

Is Bellew/Breidis next? The cruiserweight division could really heat up if the top guys start consistently fighting each other.

If Drozd gets fit. As champion in recess he'd get first crack.
Not sure timeline for Briedis. Probably a year as he's just became silver champion.

According to the "Normal" operating procedures of the WBC, Bellew will need to defend vs the mandatory next since he is filling a vacant title. As stated above, Drozd if he is ready, Breidis if he is not. Of course, the WBC can ignore any of its rules anytime it wants. That is also in the rules

From the WBC Rules and Regulations:
3.18 Conditions upon New Champion. The WBC may, as it in its sole discretion deems proper
and necessary, impose conditions upon a new champion filling a vacant title, including but
not limited to: (a) ordering the first defense of the title as a mandatory defense against a
WBC-designated challenger (who may be any Qualified Challenger or a challenger selected
through a final elimination bout or a WBC-recognized tournament. Upon request, the WBC
may in its discretion approve one or more voluntary defenses prior to ordering a mandatory
defense.
