1. I'm glad you agree that Hatton fighting bums for years was a disgrace.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Nonsense, I've criticised Hatton plenty of times, especially in the run up to fighting Tszyu when he fought way too many soft touches.lirva33 wrote:James how blinkered are you mate. Floyd wanted Hatton as soon as he moved to 140, he's been saying it all along. He challenged him after the Corley and Gatti fights on national television.jamesmcdonnell wrote: Floyd isn't even available you prick, how's he supposed to fight Floyd when Floyd is already fighting against Judah? Floyd hasn't exactly been tripping over himself to make the fight happen either.
Ricky has already made several million pounds in his career mate, he was earning very nicely even prior to the Tszyu fight, I seem to recall a figure of between £250,00 - £500,000 per fight, and that's pounds not dollars.
Floyd has only featured on ONE PPV to date, and that was against Gatti he's not going to earn more in one fight than Hatton has in his whole career, that's clearly bollocks as Hatton has probably earnt in the region of about 15 million dollars so far if not more. Didn't he earn around 5-6 million dollars for his last fight alone?
Phillips was KO'd in K1 because he broke his shin bone, how in fucks name is that relevant to anything?
Hatton can do no wrong in your eyes. The fact is, he could easily have made the fight. EASILY. He has said he needs two "warm ups". I thought the Maussa fight was a warm up?
Mayweather is fightinig Judah and then wants DLH, he's not even interested in fighting Hatton now, he was only interested when Hatton was the draw and nobody outside of boxing purists had heard of Mayweather.
At 140 Hatton beat Tszyu, which eclipses anything else Mayweather has done at the weight, whether you like it or not, he beat the linear champ.
Mayweather has just turned into a belt hopper now, I won't be at all surprised to see him go for some scrub belt holder at 154 after beating Judah, and claiming that he is 'the man' at 147.
How do you know the fight could have been made easily? At what point did Mayweathers people actually sit down with Hatton or Warren and say 'Right here's the deal we want to make, here is what we want, let's make the fight...answer....never.
You act like you know it all mate, but you don't know the first thing about the boxing business. You think because Mayweather runs his mouth off about fighting Winky Wright or Hatton that that means everyone is running from him, but it's easy to call people out without actually doing anything about it. When Hatton was the big star and Mayweather was still yet to appear on PPV, he was all going on about 'I'll come to Manchester and beat ricky up, I'll retire him I'll do this I'll do that.'
Then Hatton beats Tszyu, and suddenly Mayweathers says' No way am I fighting Hatton in Manchester, he'll have to come here, and goes and makes a fight for Gatti, because it's the only way the cable company will put him on PPV.
Despite all his bravado and popularity with boxing insiders, Mayweather couldn't draw flies to shit, and that's the bottom line, he needs a big name like Oscar, Gatti, Hatton to do decent figures on PPV.
Mayweather v Judah is going to BOMB on PPV, and they are going to lose money on overpaying Floyd for this one. The Floyd, if he wins, is going to be running around licking Oscar's bollocks desperately trying to get a big money fight he knows he can win.
If that happens and he wins, he will make such outrageous demands to fight ANYONE who is a threat, that the big fights won't come.
2. Mayweather was interested in hatton and coming to Manchester, and has been interested all along. However, and I don't want to go on about this because I know people are going to disregard it, the Hatton Tszyu fight was LITTERED with fouling by hatton. It simply wouldn't be allowed in a US ring. Bull rushing head first, elbows, low blows. You have to agree that it wouldn't have been allowed in a US ring. Why is Floyd going to come over and put himself at a disadvantage like that? I don't even think Cotto would come over now.
3. Do you really believe that hatton couldn't have made the fight with Floyd if he really wanted it? Honest question.
4. I need two warm up fights - Hatton.
