Former world champion Jimmy Ellis once entered a boxing version of Crufts and won best in show for his afro styled pubic hair, which he later shaved and donated to an Egyptian time traveller, who despite being born in 278AD, is younger than Flanagan's next opponent.

the film "Ted" was loosely based on the life of scottish former world champ Paul Weir who was actually mistaken for a childs doll and spent many years trying to prove he was in fact human, the case ended in a deadlock with neither side able to prove their case and subseqently paul became the first "non human" world champion

Tony Bellew is in fact Ricky Grover, but carries around with him a special invisible hall of mirrors style lens which makes him appear much thinner than he is.

Ever seen them together - exactly, just like Billy Ocean and Kofi Annan.

The Brexit edition....

If we vote for Brexit British boxing will instantly collapse into bare-knuckle, barnyard fighting and there will be two decades of painful, ruinously costly negotiations before any British fighter is ever allowed to fight for the blue belt again. George Osborne has said it will be so.

Apparently I started this thread :maybe:

Must have been Wednesday night after I drove 500+ miles (for no reason) & ended up at Floridas oldest microbrewery.

Don't remember doing it.

Fact 1.01: Being a boxing promoter is easy peasy. Potential opponents always want to travel to your country, take fights and always fit in the budget. If they are in the top 15, they are automatically available, free of injury, suspension and promotional problems. If you promote a world champion, it's really easy to land them a big fight. If you don't, your boxer is just ducking people and you are a useless money grabber. It's easy.... honest.

The lyrics for this Beyonce classic were lifted word for word from a series of Billie Joe Saunders interviews and he gets royalties every time it is played.
