Welterweight Division is Pathetic!

You notice Thurman, Brook, Garcia, and Broner doesn't have the real desire to fight each other? They'll mention each other's names but you can see

right through the smokescreen that they aren't really interested in fighting each other! Errol & Porter are the motivated for opportunity knocks you

can really tell they look thirsty in their interviews for a chance to prove themselves on the big stage. Thurman is just going through the motions

he doesn't really care you can tell. Brook you can also tell he's not interested he just does enough to stay relevant he knows damn well he's not

interested in a Spence Jr fight OR Canelo! I bet if GBP offered Brook 5million to fight Canelo he'd turn it down someway somehow he'd find an

excuse EVEN though he's the one who called out Canelo! Garcia hasn't looked hungry and motivated honestly the Lucas & Judah fights now at the

present time he's just going through the motions...Not really promoting himself or calling anybody out he's just there! Haaaah whatever man like I

I'm speaking of the new guys! Brook, Thurman, Broner & Garcia I won't go too hard on Broner he did fight Maidana & Porter but he's been

quiet lately too not calling out any top guys. Its sad man these guys are really something Floyd is a bad influence it's awesome for him but

really f@cked up for us! He's making these guys all delusional thinking they should be earning 30-40mil a fight and havn't earned

it or really promoted themselves! I remember seeing a Source Hip Hop Magezine waay back in 2002 which had a feature on "Pretty Boy Floyd"

and his FLEET of cars and jewelry I was like "Damn Floyd Knows How To Promote Himself" wearing his mink furs these guys must understand that

Floyd has been kicking some ass since the Chico Corrales days! These guys today comes along, has one semi notable fight and all of the sudden

they become divas wanting way up in the millions! Go back and look at the way Floyd promoted himself in the early 2000s he's been simmering

on the general public's mind for quite some time that's why he was paid the 200million he's been outclassing everyone for damn near 16yrs!

Thurman fights Guerrero and wins now he's a diva Brook has one legit win over Shawn Porter now he's a diva as well

its true that the welterweight divisions top guys need to start facing off against each other. It's a stacked division yet everyone at the top is ducking one another.

But theres some really good prospects coming up... Spence, Ponomarev,Vasquez Jnr, Kavialasuskas, Shelestyuk, Golub, Horn... So some of theres surely gonna be some top matches in the next couple of years,, there has to be.. it will get better I think.

It's quite frustrating to be honest.

There's enough talent in the WW division to more than replicate the early 80s, but most of them just don't seem to want to fight each other.

Thank goodness for the likes of Shawn Porter who is an exception & will stick his neck out.

To a lesser extent, Adrien Broner (although not a true WW) seems willing to face top WWs too, but the others seem lacking.

There are just too many trinkets which allows these guys to make money & call themselves 'champion', when they're anything but.

Just because they are not fighting each other right now doesn't mean the division is pathetic. Pretty much all of the divisions best avoid each other until they are forced or money talks. It is as much or more a business as it is a sport.

WW division was pathetic in the last few years. Top fighters #3 and below were not fighting each other waiting for a call from Mayweather or Pacquiao. Now we are hopefully done with that crappy situation, especially with Arum and Haymon talking. I expect good fights.

It's definitely pathetic that one of the deepest talent pools in Boxing like we see in the Welterweight division is full of a bunch of chickensh*t fighters afraid to risk their 0.

Al Haymon has done his part to ruin this division. Almost all the big fights in this division are in his hands, but he'd rather have Thurman and Garcia and Spence beat up on the Guerrero's and Josesito Lopez's of the division for years to come.

I'd just about guarantee you that Andre Berto is next for one of the top guys before long. Another easy win for any of the IT guys in the division.

I think it's too early to start this crap. I think in the next 2 years we will get most of the fights we are clamoring for. Like I've said from the get go.. there was never a era where all the best fought the best every time out. Hell GGG has yet to fight a great or even very good fighter and people practicality blow the guy on here. Then those same people have the nerve to criticise a entire weight division when more than half of the fighters they are pertaining to have wins against a higher caliber opponent than GGG.
