Paul Butler - disgrace

Post by TheLeprechaun »

Really let himself and the fans down. Fails to make weight then goes around saying he was in a sauna and the bbbc heard he was saying his vision was bad etc so called off the fight.

The thai opponent has really been messed around as have the fans

Can't see where he goes from here. Big dent in his reputation. Very very unprofessional

He said yesterday the fight was still on, now Boxing news tweeting the board won't let him fight, was he that far over?

Nothing on allegedly's twitter not surprisingly I guess

No video of the weigh in on IFL.

Wonder if someone told them they can't put the video on.

I don't think this is like broner who couldn't be bothered to make weight,if butler can't make the weight anymore then better he moves up instead of harming himself trying to , he said on twitter he was 1 pound over

done.

If he can't make the weight any more then how does that make him a disgrace, if he was in the sauna then he was obviously trying to lose it. I don't really know anything about the story but he has fought over 120 a few times so perhaps the weight has been an issue for a while...

What a prat. Very overrated in my opinion anyway. Good fighter but not as good as some on BN would have you believe.

Was at weigh in the thai lad was 2 pound under I thought Butler was 3 over but not 100% sure couldn't hear the announcement properly. The Thai fella should get paid not his fault.

Shambles, sitting there in the arena waiting for it until checked twitter. No confirmation from allegedly's twitter. Reading it was something to do with an article were Butler explained how he tried to make weight to the extent his vision went blurry in a sauna, don't know how true this is. Schedule changed and Josh leather fought in a 4 rounder against a guy who's last fight was 2010, He was supposed to be fighting Terry Needham. £5 tickets on the door and a quite pathetic main event on paper and in reality. People were not happy on the way out, saying his shows are getting worse. Shame as it looked like a good bill when 1st announced.

The lack of formal announcement about Butler being pulled was poor.

How many were there last night?

I'd say 3k mate. The ring wasn't in the centre like usual it was opposite block 5 when it's usually opposite block 3, never seen so few floor seats.

Worry about how he'll be at bantam, remember Stuey Hall being significantly bigger when Butler won the world title a couple of years ago.
