Well most obviously Fury, Wilder, and Klitchsko.

Ortiz, Povetkin.

Those five would definitely beat Joshua.
Hmmm, let's see how good Povetkin is when the PEDs have worn off...

No, I hardly imagine anyone is completely clean. But he hasn't been busted for it yet whereas Povetkin has.

I disagree with that, only Tyson Fury has a chance imo.

Funny is that BitPlayer wonders what Joshua has done to impress me, while he himself is saying names like Wilder??
What has Wilder done to impress you? Delaying fights and avoid top contenders? Is that impressing?

I think Joshua has a punchers chance against any current HW, and of the five names mentioned I'd back him to beat Wilder

Povetkin actually proved he was clean and the bit was left from 2015, when meldonium wasn't on the list.

I didn't say he was a cert, but he's pretty clearly near the top, and while I think there's a fair few who could beat him, if he got lucky, I think Wilder could beat pretty much anyone.

I think he'd do Wilder easily, better in every department apart from Power where I'd say they are both beasts. He should go and fight him in the states and bring back that green belt, his profile would sky rocket in the U.S. If he did.

AJ's unproven at world level but Hughie's unproven at any level that matters and has only come to any prominence by hanging onto Tyson's coat tails. Sure he's young but he's had 20 professional fights, it's time he started moving up. Imo he hasn't got the power to succeed and I wonder if he's even a real heavyweight.

All this talk of gypsies being proud fighting men who won't lose easily is utter bollocks. Being forced to fight as a young child by irresponsible parents has no bearing on whether as an adult a professional boxer such as Hughie has the skill and desire to avoid an early defeat against a superior opponent.

AJ for me, but there is not rush with Hughie... I think he has bags of potential and his team are handling him in exactly the right way so that when he does step up he's got bags of experience and faced a number of different styles.

Poor form.
Fair enough, your right about that ! I shouldn't have said certain insults, infact I shouldn't really have to lower myself to hurling insults atall, however it's no excuse but this guy really annoys me at times ! I know I shouldn"t let him get under my skin, and yes it is poor form as you say ! Just things like attempting to disturb the restful peace of a deceased and honorable family man I find particularly deplorable ! Amongst many other less despicable things, but which are rather just plain annoying ! I actually have nothing against the disabled or the homosexual, disabled people have no choice, and for gay people it is their choice, so long as it doesn't effect me who am I to judge them ? If it's wrong like it says it is in the Bible, then I will leave judgement to God, but not everyone holds a religous belief ! So in other words I suppose I am apologising for those remarks that you found offensive, and will cease to use such terms in future ! Basically I was too embroiled in what I was responding to Rufus about, and did not stop to think, but thankyou for bringing it to my attention and sorry.

If Hughie is on the roids , I would get him off them and get down in weight (if he can ) he's simply not a big enough puncher to be a force with the big boys , and he won't grow into being a bigger puncher ,, skill wise he's not skilful enough to keep the big boys off him ,, he's not really going any where just hanging around earning a living .

Now if he is'nt on the roids and really does have a skin problem ,, and its true it effects his ability, then i would be telling him your young enough go take a break and get yourself healthy

Can't help but think theres a bit of the pushy father syndrome involved in this one

What's his best win? Szpilka? The guy who openly wondered when the drugstests would finally be there? A still unanswered question as far as I know. TBH I can't say I'm impressed by Wilder, but oke, beating Szpilka can't be done by everyone, so fair enough.

Con, are you suggesting that a fighter who's 6'6" & weighs in between 230 & 240 pounds gets down to Cruiserweight :-?

I disagree about the other points but time will tell who's right about that but Cruiserweight?

Did'nt relize he was that big to be honest. So used to seeing him next to Tyson who is actually a monster,, Hope he does develop some sort of power or better skill base , i actually like the fury's would be nice to see him do well , but at the moment , i dunno i just seem to see a guy who just does'nt look elite ,,,, good but not elite ,, Thing in his favor is at his age they have still got a couple of years and probably 8-10 fights where they can baby him citing his age ,, but after that he'll have to make a move , and theres not much else around is there

"Ortiz and Povetkin" ???
Ortiz is unknown and unproven quantity, and Povetkin is a coward, only good against fighters smaller/same size as he is ! Anthony Joshua would make EXTREMELY light work of Alexander Povetkin !!! Povetkin.......Really ??? Ha Ha Ha !!!

He did weigh just 217 a few fights ago, which is within CW cutting range, although that weight seems to be anomalous and he's been 230-240 for pretty much every other match.

I wonder what was going on there?

Like he 'gassed out' against Whyte?
It really makes me laugh about how people have really lowered Joshua's stock since the Whyte fight . Watch the fight again , he had a dodgy few moments ,but was never in any serious trouble . Look how it turned out for Tyson Fury after his shockingly awful showing against Mcdermott in their first fight that most thought he lost , just after that fight you would never have dreamed he would be world champion one day . Joshua won by a stunning ko, not enough for some people .
indeed conveniently forgetting Tyson getting hammered and nearly kod by a cruiserweight in Cunningham and getting sat on his arse by the might Natha Pajkik..who is fornicating levels below Whyte.

didn't harm his stock in the long run.

For one Tyson was 23 when he fought Pajkic. Also Pajkic if anything is a better opponent than Whyte, when they fought he had a much much better resume, and he had very fast hands.

Also one flash knockdown when he mucking abut isn't getting hammered. Far from Fury's best performance that night, but he completely broke down Cunningham, a man who has never been knocked out before or since.

He won the fight, and knocked him out. But Cunningham, much smaller and older than Tyson, had him on the canvas.

I lol at people moaning about how AJ is apparently given a hard time.

The guy is hyped beyond belief and for the most part is extremely well regarded for someone with his relatively limited resume.
