Hughie Fury vs. Andy Ruiz jr - OFF

Post by wesshaw1985 »

Hughie is due out on the Tyson Fury vs. Klitcshko undercard, any ideas who his opponent would/should be?

WBO HW Top-15 Rankings -

Champ - Tyson Fury
1. Joseph Parker
2. Wladimir Klitschko
3. Carlos Takam
4. Alexander Ustinov
5. Andy Ruiz
6. Hughie Fury
7. Michael Wallisch
8. Edmund Gerber
9. Malik Scott
10. Kubrat Pulev
11. Jarrell Miller
12. Izuagbe Ugonoh
13. Artur Szpilka
14. Arnold Gjergjaj
15. Tom Schwarz

Schwarz, Scott, Gerber, Wallisch, Ruiz and Ustinov are all available and coming off wins...

I doubt it'll be anyone remotely dangerous since they've already knocked back the Dillian Whyte fight.

It doesn't have to be anyone ranked in the top15.

Malik Scott sounds to me like the most easy fight. Especially if he's going to dive again.

It'll be a journeyman, maybe Love of someone like that or possibly lower level still. he's ill and coming back from a pretty nasty cut.

I know that but I would like to believe he would be aiming for a ranked name...

It will be some tough journey man with a half decent name that's it, isn't Fury still recovering from illness? there not going to put him with anybody who can beat him at this stage, another couple of years before he's thrown in at the deep end.

Peter said in interview he's gonna be fighting journeymen just to keep fit and active. He's on medication and recovering from illness.

I don't think Boxings gonna work out for poor Hughie. He's seemed up against it from day one with all these health issues. Hope I'm wrong, but he rarely seems to get any momentum

They also turned down John Mcdermott 2 months ago for the English title. That's the level Hughie Fury is currently at.

Why? Doesn't seem like the sort of fighter they pick or anyone would want.

We already have a thread on this started tonight - did you really need to go back and rename an old topic?

This fight wont happen nor will any other on the bill. The bill if confirmed to date will be cancelled. Have to be crackers to buy a ticket and make hotel arrangements etc for this dated bill. I expect the title will be vacant by then.

"The title", Fury has WBA Super, WBO, IBO and The Ring, I'd be surprised if he was stripped of them all by then. Even if he was I don't think it's about titles, Wlad wants to avenge his loss.
