..the one i'd like most to see would be the corbett/jackson one.....must have been the best display of skills existing at the time.

Actualy I heard after the 20th round or so both fighters kind of stopped fighting and were very cautious and just hugged and clinched. Thats why it was stopped and declared a draw because neither man was fighting

..scranton.....interesting and thanks. i've never read this before. in fact, for a fight that should be so famous i haven't found many descriptions of it anywhere.

I dont think it was a great fight, but Max Baer fought King Levinsky in a 20 round fight in 1932. Was this the last one ever over 15 rounds? I thought Baer fought Lou Nova in a 20 rounder at one point ,but the records dont reflect this.

..i think louis/abe simon II was scheduled for 20...and bob pastor II ditto...but neither went that far, so it's hard to find this info just by looking at the results....kayo by earlier. don't know if boxrec has this listed as such or not, but now that i've posted it someone will check it out and save me the trouble.

Several of the Benny Leonard vs. Lew Tendler fights were said to be very good. The one I have a clip of suggests so anyway.
